Bharti headed off to meet Payal who was waiting for her at her place.

Payal:Heyy..(hugged Bharti) Come in...

Bharti:Bhaskar's here too??I thought he must have gone out...

Bhaskar:Heyy...how are you??

Bharti:I'm ok...Actually i got shortlisted for an interview at MU..

Payal:WHAT??(shocked)

Bhaskar:Awesome!!Hey Payal kya hua??(shook Payal)

Payal:Huh??Kuch bhi toh nahin..(smiled at Bharti)

Bhaskar:I'll order Pizza for the three of us..

Payal excused herself to the washroom and she was pacing up and down inside thew ashroom.

"Oh God, maine kya maanga tha??Aur aap mujhe kya de rahe ho??I specifically stated MWorld...But no..You had to give Bharti an internship at Men's Universe instead...Sometimes I just feel that You're simply laughling at me..Hasso..Aur zyaada hasso..Sach mein I'm really frustrated with You right now!!Arrrggghh!!!!Kya poochna chahthe ho mujhse??Ke main aapse kyun naaraaz hoon...Woh iss liye kyunki.....Kyunki....kyunki???(pauses for a long while) Actually...kyun naaraaz hoon??Why exactly am I angry for???"

Just then there was a knock on the door.

Bhaskar:Paayu what are you doing??

Payal:Ek minute aa rahi hoon..(opens the door)

Bhaskar:Hatto..bohat urgent hain..(closes the door)

Payal:Hey Bharti congratzz

Bharti:Kya congratz yaar...I really thought of working together wih Alisha and Sanju..

Payal:So why don't you just..

Bharti:Interview's tomorrow at 11:30 am..

Payal:Come on it'll be fine...I heard from Bhaskar that Amarjeet believes in the first impression being the best impression...If you managed to impress him you'll be guaranteed the job...

Bharti:Hhmmm...Hey i need to go off soon...

Payal:Pizza khaa kar jaana..Great; the pizza's here...

Bharti ate three slices of Pizza and Bhaskar dropped her at Armaan's place and wished her the best of luck for her interview tomorrow. She sulked at that thought and went inside. Bharti saw armaan talking on the phone and she went to get changed. Both of them sat down on the sofa and ate dinner while watching TV.

Armaan:So how are you feeling??

Bharti:About??

Armaan:It's your first interview...

Bharti:So not looking forward to it..For i thought i might get an internship at MWorld...

Armaan:Come on, you're lucky that you;re being shortlisted so quickly..It took months for me and Jiya to even get shortlisted..So consider yourself lucky..

Bharti:Yeah..maybe you're right..

Armaan:Bharti...

Bharti:Ok fine...you're right//I should just give Men's Universe a chance too..

Armaan:Oh hello you make it sound as if you're doing a favour to MU..

Bharti:Haha I guess so..(smiled widely at Armaan)

Armaan:Hey Bharti..(Bharti was in the kitchen) I'll be heading to MU quite early tomorrow..so i'll just heaad for the bed, yeah??

Bharti:Kz..goodnight!!

Armaan:Nitez..aur haan jaldi so jao..Cuz you sleep like a rock and I'm sure you wouldn't want to lose this chance...

Bharti:Armaan...I'll kill you...Just go and sleep!!

Armaan quickly closed the door and smiled. Just before sleeping, Armaan wrote a small note to Bharti just in case he might forget to do so while rushing for work tomorrow.Armaan folded the note and turned in and slept.

The next day, Armaan woke up early and before he left, he kept the alarm clock riniging at Bharti;s ears and quickly left. Armaan smiled and rode off on his bike. Bharti woke up, feeling super irritated with the alarm clock. She was about to throw it away but just then she saw a red mug of coffee and a note accompanied by it.

"Hey Bharti..

Very good morning..Ok I'm sorry for keeping the alarm right near your ears but I had to wake you up..Come on; it's 10:30 am..All the best for your interview, yeah??You'll do great, I'm sure...Your Mom wished all the ebst of luck too...All the best!!

Bharti kept the alarm clock on the table and smiled, folding the note neatly. She brushed her teeth and drank her coffee. Bharti got her certificates, resume and cover letter ready in her purple folder and got ready. Bharti locked the house and left in an auto, for which she had to wait for some time. Eventually, Bharti got out of the auto and wore her heels,almost forgetting to pay the autodriver. She started to walk and she got inside the lift to MU. When she got out, she walked to the receptionist.

Bharti:Good morning..Jenny,right??

Jenny:Yeah..

Bharti:Hi I'm Bharti..I've been called for an interview scheduled with Mr Aarjeet at 11:30 am

Jenny:You're Bhaskar's friend??

Bharti:Yeah..interview??

Jenny:Oops sorry I'm quite absent-minded at times...(looks at the watch) You're actually 20 minute slate..

Bharti:So the interview's over..??(smiles)

Jenny:Amarjeet sir is waiting for you...Just walk straight and turn left and his cabin is the last room...You'll see his name outside..All the best!!

Bharti:Hhmm..great..I so need some luck!!

Bharti started to walk towards Amarjeet's cabin. She was cautiously walking, taking a step at a time and she saw several of the staff just staring at the way she was walking and she was fidgeting to herself and she kept looking to her sides,not watching in front. Armaan was browsing through a file and asking a guy to pass the designs to Sunny and Raj and just then he bumped into Bharti and she would have almost slipped and fallen had it not been for Armaan.

Bharti let out a deep sigh of relief.

Bharti:Oh hi.....Thanks!!(Armaan had held her hand)

Armaan:Anytime...Ermm how was your interview??

Bharti:(grinned sheepishly) What do you think??

Armaan:Don't tell me that you just arrived!!

Bharti:Again, what do you think??

Armaan let go of her hand but held it in time when he realized she was about to fall.

Armaan:Bharti!!!!How careless can you get??

Bharti:Ok Armaan..Help me..I need to stand upright...

Armaan:Oops sorry...

Bharti:Thanks..ab tum haath chodoge toh main jaao interview ke liye??

Arman:Oops again..yeah jaldi jaao..Go,go,go!!!!

Bharti turned to go. Just then, Armaan called her and bharti turned. Armaan gave her a Thumbs Up and Bharti smiled and winked at him and left. Bharti knocked on the door and went inside.

Bharti:Good morning Sir...I'm sorry for being late..Actually woh kya hain na Sir..

Amarjeet:Your file...

Bharti:Oh yes..Just a minute..(unzips her bag and takes out her folder, accidentally hiyying his head) Oops..sorry Sir..

Amarjeet:Take a seat..Well Bhaskar had told me a lot about you...

Bharti:(murmured to herself) Woh toh kahega hi na...

Amarjeet:Kuch kaha tumne??

Bharti:No sir..You were saying...

Amarjeet:So you've applied for 2 motnhs internship here..Why why should I hire you??

Bharti:Bohat acha question hai Sir..Indeed...you know something Sir??In fact main bhi yehi soch rahi thi ki why should you hire me..Actually i came late for the interview..It's so rude na Sir??Indeed it's highly preposterous..Aur..

Amarjeet:Kya?

Bharti:Kya kya sir??

Amarjeet:Woh shabd jo tumne abhi abhi kaha??

Bharti:PReposterous...

Amarjeet:Aha..great..aage bolo..

Bharti:(thought to herself) Indeed Raj was right..This dude is definitely greedy for english words...Lollz...

Bharti:Actually even if I won the Asian journalism competition held against several universities with my team mates I don't think you should hire me for I came late..

Amarjeet:That's fine for even Bhaskar comes late too..I see you have several testimonials from your professors..Ok, If I were to hire you, what will be your first feature article be about??

Bharti:That totally depends on the theme of the magazine and newsletter...And what the other team-mates agree on..Simple!!

Amarjeet:What if I decide not to hire you??

Bharti:Sir if you don't mind me asking you a question??

Amarjeet:Interesting, a question in response to a question..Ok shoot!!

Bharti:Seriously sir you don't have any other question to ask me??If you don't hire me, I'll just go to some other company like the MWorld...

Amarjeet:You're hired!!!

Bharti:Sir, jald baazi theekh nahin hai Sir...Soch samajh kar faisla le lijiyega...

Amarjeet:You're hired..Come on..I'll make an announcement to all the staff at the foyer..

Bharti:(thought to herself) I thought I screwed up the interview but this dude is really impressed by me...Goodness!!!

Amarjeet announced to everyone at the foyer that Bharti's the new intern whom he's just hired to be the creative assistant of the MU newsletter and she'll begin her work tomorrow itself. Everyone came forward to congratulate Bharti and dispersed. Armaan extended his hand and Bharti shook hands with him. Jiya hugged her and welcomed her to Men's universe. Raj brought her to her cabin and told her to sit and make herself comfy. Raj sat on the chair in front of her.

Raj:So congratzz...

Bharti:Hhmm...

Raj:Waise I heard from Jenny that you came late for your interview...How did you even manage??

Bharti:Who even managed...I was thinking of screwing up the interview but stupidly the word preposterous slipped from my tongue and Amarjeet sir got impressed by that and I said if he didn't hire me, it won't matter to me for I can go to MWorld..I thought I was frustrating him but instead, he hired me!!!

Raj bursted out laughing..

Bharti:What's so funny??

Raj:Nothing...Anyways we still got a dinner..

Bharti:Not so soon Raj..

Raj:Heyy that's not fair...

Bharti:I said i'll think about it..Aur waise bhi intezaar ka phal bhi meetha hota hai...

Raj:Intezaar huh??Alright then..I'll wait for the right day..And it better be while you're working here...

Bharti:Hehe sure...

Raj:You can look through the latest MU issues of the magazine and the newsletter..I need to meet Amarjeet for a while and I'll be right back...

Bharti:Okiezz....

Meanwhile Armaan was sitting in his chair, smiling over the fact that Bharti has been hired in Men's universe. He simply couldn't believe his luck and kept smiling over how Bharti was so clumpsy just now while heading to Amarjeet's cabin. He rubbed his palms together and kept thinking of Bharti.As he turned to his side, he saw Bharti standing at his cabin door.

Armaan:Heyy tum yaha??

Bharti:Kyun??Main yaha nahin aa sakthi??

Armaan:Nahin..Ermm..(looks to his sides)..Actually..

Bharti:Kya Armaan??Why are you so nervous??

Armaan:Bharti..I'm seriously very happy for you..

Bharti:Sacchh??

Armaan:Mucchh...Bharti main tumse kuch kehna chahtha hoon...

Bharti:Hmm kaho..

Armaan:Bata nahin kaise kahoo..

Bharti smiled and took a step closer towards him.

Armaan:Bata nahin kya ho jaata hai jab bhi...

Bharti placed her finger on his lips.

Bharti:Aur kuch kehne ki koi zaroorat nahin..Mujhe bhi kuch aise hi...

Armaan:Sachh??

Bharti nodded her head and smiled at him and Armaan hugged her and smiled, feeling so comfortable in her arms and caressed her hair.
