~A candid chat with the JLH team~

How long has it been that we've met the JLH team,my dear friends??As the new year kick started,we saw a series of exciting episodes on Jab Lurve Hua,which makes it even more unpredictable for the future tracks of tomorrow to get disclosed.Reaching almost 270 episodes,our dearest fan,Sadaf talk to several members of the team.

Sadaf:Bharti has returned back to Mumbai from London...How was the experience shooting in London??

Bharti:Well,it's just been fantastic..Speaking of which,i'm already missing Naina,Payal and Bhaskar who'll be back soon...Miss shooting with them already!!It was a hell lotta trip as Bhaskar's secret was finally revealed to all of us and the misunderstanding's been cleared and they're back together..It's going to be more fun when they all return...

Sadaf:We hear that you've landed a high-paying job at Trends??

Bhati:Yep,you're right...I impressed Mayank with my answers and the least he could do was to offer me a job as his assistant..(laughs)

Mayank:On a quick note,her work experience will be totally different as compared to her work life in MU..To make things worse,there's going to be lots of hurdles, namely the office politics to be initiated by Ash and Vinita, Shreya's blooming one-sided relationship with Armaan and not forgetting Gaurav,who has relations with quite a number of people whom Bharti knows...

Bharti:Hear it from the man himself...Aaja beith le..

Sadaf:Hi Gaurav,tell us about your character...Is it a cameo??And are you interested in Bharti??

Bharti:I had no clue that i was such hot property in the first place!!

Gaurav:Well,according to Bharti,i'm Alisha's mentor and Anjali's distant cousin and a guy whom Alisha had set her up with,without her knowledge...However,she doesn't know of me being one of the major shareholders in Trends as well as a creditor in MWorld,where Alisha and Sanjana work..By profession,i'm a witty lawyer who loves playing mind games and right now,i'm handling Raj's case,much to Bharti's bewilderment.My role is a pretty distinct one,but it doesn't overshadow any of the major characters who have been on air till now..But it's an unforgettable character,very well etched out and conceived by Jassie for this is no ordinary cameo;my role is extended to Season 2..It might seem that i'm interested in Bharti by the way i go after her and flirt with her full-on bu the only thing i can surely tell you is that i'm connected to Bharti in a dangerous way..In a myserious way!!

Sadaf:Now you've really got us hooked to JLH...Bharti's life is surely going to take a curve in Trends but what about Armaan??

Raj:Well here, some of the colleagues secretly plan on uniting Armaan and Bharti and somehow stop Armaan's and Shreya's engagement from happening..Jiya has been an exception and there has been a transformation for this time round,she's not pushing her best friend towards Bharti at all!!In fact,she's simply trying to protect her best friend's heart from getting boken all over again and that too by Bharti.She's beginning to dislike Bharti's attitude towards Armaan but she tries not to show it in front of me or Armaan.Right now,all i can think of,is...the case and once Armaan returns,there'll be more drama to unfold on the run!!!

Sadaf:Wow,this is brilliant...We have so much to forward to,with so many questions yet to be answered,ultimately leading to the BIG QN--Will our januable couple,ArBi be distant because of much involvement from their friends and colleagues?Will they ever be together???Letz continue,getting ourselves hooked up to JLH a the mysteries and drama unfold...And keep a watch for this section weekly for more news on JLH!!!

~Jab Lurve Hua Part 268~

Bharti was totally shocked to see Gyaan there.She had no idea that he would be interviewed as well.Now,Bharti as thinking twice,if she ought to take up the job,since apparently she assu es that there could be some allies of his that helped him to become shortlisted and now it all comes down to both of them.

Bharti:What are you doing here?

Gyaan:Well,i was told to wait after my interview..

Bharti:Interview??What are you doing out of jail?

Gyaan:Hmm i guess i'm just so lucky for Ash and Vinita..But i can't believe that you too missed me..

Bharti:Shut up!!

Gyaan:Alright...All the best for your next interview cuz my job is almost fixed here...It's going to be the best one i would have gotten,my entire life..

Bharti:Well,if you think you're gonna get the job..(thought to herself)Why should i burst the balloons now?It's still quite early..Let me lead him on...

Gyaan:What??Feeling inferior already??

Bharti:I guess you're right..All the best in your future at Trends!!I'm not really sure if I stand a chance here or not..You must be knowing a lot of people here,right,just like how you knew several before you landed a job at Men's Universe,hmm??(smirked as Gyaan got all so tensed up and rather defensive all of a sudden)Kya hua,Gyaan??(just then,Maria came and invited both of them inside;she soon left and both Gyaan and Bharti looked at each other before facing the panel)

~Mahi's place~

Mahi opened the refrigerator only to realize that there's nothing much she could eat.She changed her clothes and decided to go out and eat.Just as she locked her home,she came across a small bouquet and a Post-It note.She took the bouquet with her and hailed an auto,directing the driver to head to Trends.She knew instantly that the note could have only been written by Mayank himself.

~Trends~

Maria was about to go to the conference room when Mahi came by,asking for Mayank.She hesitated but eventually told her that he was busy with an interview in the conference room.All eyes were focused on Mahi who had her eyes fixed on Mayank who was completely blank and confused by her appearance in the conference room and that too with a bouquet of flowers.Only after a while did it hit his head that it was the sam bouquet of flowers which he had kept by her doorstep.

Mayank:Excuse me,ladies and gentlemen..(advanced towards Mahi)Hii,are you ok?

Mahi:Who the hell do you think you are to send me these flowers??(Mayank looked shocked and grabbed her elbow before leading her out of the conference room and to his cabin,closing the door)

Mayank:How did you figre it was me?

Mahi:Wow,someone agrees that he's the one who sent me the flowers...Your stupid Post-It gave it away..Who do you think you are,by the way??Just how dare you judge me??

Mayank:Judge you??First of all,i don't even know you at all so where does that question of me judging you come up?I wanted you to feel better and that was my only intention of sending you the bouquet..

Mahi:By calling me a coward??(pulled the Post-It and put it in front of his eyes before crushing it)I don't need your judgment nor do I have to prove myself to you,get that?Just mind your own business!!

Mayank:I had written that you're an independent and bold gil..You can ignore that part and just pu your emphasis on the "coward" part??If you didn't have to prove yourself,then why are you here,Mahi??

Mahi:(looked intenty into his eyes as she paused to think)To throw these flowers in your face for they mean nothing to me!!Just to make things clear,i may have fallen weak for a moment,but i'm never a coward!!

Mayank:How can anyone grow weak all ofa sudden unless something drastic must have happened..

Mahi:Why are you questioning since it's strictly none of your business,huh?Why do you even care,Mr Mayank Sharma??(turned to go off)

Mayank:Cuz we're almost in the same boat and we could relate to each other??Both of us had lost our loves..(Mahi stopped and turned to look at him)I care because i don't want to see someone whom i know in yet another similar situation!!

Mahi:Stop lying!!!You don't know what it's like to be in that split second...Have you wondered??Have you imagined...Seeing Radhika hug someone else right before you,losing her before your very own eyes??I fell weak and tried taking my life but i failed!!

Mayank:Don't you ever utter Radhika's name from your mouth,get it?And as a matter of fact,she has never cheated on me before,nor will she ever do that!!She's here with me,so don't you ever compare her to anyone else!!!I felt apologetic for my behaviour for not accepting your friendship but you know what?It's fine by me,for i don;t need anyone who only cares about her problems alone..FYI,there are several people out there who are having far worse problems than you and yet they're living bravely,fighting against all odds!!!I won't bother you again...(left his cabin and headed to the conference room)Sorry,i was late...So Gyaan and Bharti,it was an agreed decision from all of us that Trends is going to hire Ms Bharti Kapoor,based on her credentials and her testimonials from Men's Universe..I welcome Bharti to be part of the family of Trends for a month and after which her temporary contract can be renewed,as necessary.Gyaan,we gave you a chance to be interviewed by us,despite knowing the fact that you're an ex-convict.That shouldn't deter you from looking for jobs elsewhere,so on behalf of Trends,i wish you all the very best!!(Mahi had witnessed everything from outside and was shocked to see Gyaan)

Mahi hid from there and came out only after Gyaan had left.

Bharti:Mahiii!!!(hugged Mahi;withdrew from her hug and smiled)OMG,i've got big news yaar..

Mahi:Really?What??

Bharti:I'm...(Mayank came out after the other interviewers left)With effect from tomorrow,i'm assistant to the Chief Editor of Trends,Mr Mayank Sharma..Can you believe it??(Mahi smiled weakly)What's wrong babe??Aren't you happy for me?(Mahi wiped her tears)

Mahi:Of course i am..These are just tears of happiness..I missed you so much,Bharti!!(hugged her tightly)

Bharti:Arre,kya hua tujhe,huh??(Bharti sensed something was troubling Mahi and her doubts further confimed when Mayank simply walked away)

Mahi:(wiped her tears and withdrew from her hug)When did you come back?How was your interview??What was Gyaan doing inside??Erm,are you free now???

Bharti:Relax,Mahi..Come,let's go and grab some lunch first...We can catch up along the way..Chal!!

Mahi:Erm,ek minute Bharti..Main bas abhi aayi!!(attended Sonali's call)Haan,bolo Sonu..

Sonali:Kahaa ho tum?

Mahi:Trends mein aur main ek khaas dost ke saath lunch karne jaa rahi hoon..

Sonali:Khaas dost?Kahin yeh Mayank toh nahin hain??

Mahi:Shut up,Sonu!!That'll never ever happen,even in your wildest dreams!!I'm here to throw the flowers he sent me at home..And how come you're not mad at me?

Sonali:Ohhh i still am,pretty much!!But don't you know us?No matter what,we can't stay mad at each other for long..So,he really sent you flowers???O-M-G yaar!!

Mahi:Shut up,will you?

Sonali:Arre yaar,why did you throw it in his face?At least you can give it to me na..

Mahi:Sonali,you creep me out at times,do you know that??

Bharti:Mahi,chale??(Mahi nodded)

Sonali:Oh freak..Mahi,am i hearing Bharti's voice??

Mahi:Yes,you are..

Sonali:Where are you both headed to?

Mahi:Have not decided as of yet..

Sonali:Wish i could join you guyz..Damn the meeting!!Mahi,you better come back to work tomorrow..Raj is also not here as well so i'm handling his bit too..

Mahi:What?He's still not at work??Is it because of his case?

Sonali:Yeahh...

Mahi:Ok,i'll ttyl,k?Come home for dinner,crash at my place as alwayzz!!

Sonali:Alritezz..Send my love to Bharti and tell her i'll catch up with her soon..

Bharti:I hear you Sonu...(Mahi had already set her mobile to loudspeaker mode while Bharti drove Mahi's Ferrari)Will meet ya soon,k?Lurve ya loadzz!!Now,get back to work!!

Sonali:Oh ok..AJ's coming!!Bye,bye!!(Mahi and Bharti bursted out laughing after Sonu hung up)

~Men's Universe~

Vinita:Isse tum chai kehte ho Narain,huh??

Narain:Main doosra le aata hoon...

Vinita:Koi zaroorat nahin hain..Waise bhi mera dimaag pak gayi hain!!(headed to the washroom)Oh God!!Saari mehnat bekaar ho chuka hain,sab iss duffer Gyaan ke waje se..Arggh!!(Sonali overheard Vinita's monologue as she hid her legs in the cubicle)Hello,Ash?Are you freakin' serious about this?

Ash:Yes,sadly this is the truth!!

Vinita:Damn it,damnn it!!Where did she come from,all of a sudden??I mean,couldn't she have gotten a new job elsewhere??She had to come back from London and attend the interview,prepared...I went through all the trouble and so did you but at last,Bharti gets the job??She didn't even possess the experience for an Assistant Chief Editor..(Sonali covered her mouth and gasped in excitement;much as she wanted to do a lil jig,she controlled herself)

Ash:Vini,relax..She's got the upper hand because of Mayank sir..But my team and i will make her work life a living hell and she won't stay here for long!!

Vinita:I can't relax,Ash!!(Sonu was shocked)I wanted Gyaan to have the job so that secrets remain secrets..Bharti shouldn't be part of Trends for long,so do the needful..At any cost,you hear me??

Ash:Of course,Vini...This is extremely easy for me so just trust me,ok?

Vinita:Argh,now i've gotta control Gyaan and persuade him to work hand in hand with me..Anyways,i'll talk to you later since i need to get back to work..Bye!!

Ash:Haan me too,,Ok,bye!!(hung up)

Sonali:(slowly got out after hearing Vinita's footsteps fading away and the slamming of the door)Phew!!Thank God i didn't get caught..But..But Bharti's got a job in Trends??WOW!!!(her smile faded)Ash can be a huge problem for her there!!Should i tell Bharti?Oh wait,maybe i can talk to Mayank and get Ash out of the job for good!!Hah,way to go,Sonu!!!Arre,meri meeting!!(headed out of the washroom)

~Evening~

Bharti:Mahi,thank you so much for helping me with the cleaning..The house can be so much in a mess!!

Mahi:(smiled)Haha,having kids can be so fun,right?Messing up the whole house and all..

Bharti:And exhausting as well,yaar!!Don't you think?I mean, Naina isn't my own blood but both of us have gotten so close to each other that we can't part from each other..Only because of Payal's and Bhaskar's incessant begging did i let Naina spend time with them..Seriously i tell you i'm missing Naina so much already!!

Mahi:Aww...Bharti,i know it's your life and i shouldn't really ask..

Bharti:What,Mahi?

Mahi:There's really no chance of you...Ermm...Getting married?

Bharti:Lollz Mahi,you were hesitating to ask me this?Yeahh,it's my life and i can see very much clearly that marriage is not on my cards!!Naina is my life and she makes me complete...I don't need any guy to do the honours of complicating my life in any way...

Mahi:Not even if there is a Mr Lovable??

Bharti:(smiled as she thought)What are you implying?

Mahi:Nothing in particular,Bharti..I mean,if someone crosses your path,wouldn't you reconsider your options?

Bharti:You went through a rough patch in your life,Mahi...You're willing to forgive the guy who abused you and stripped you of motherhood?(Mahi looked intently at her)I'm so..so sorry,Mahi!!I don't know much but..

Mahi:You're right,Bharti...It's been 4 years since my divorce and yet i can't forget him because i loved him way too much..I lived with him for 2.5 years yet i couldn't imagine that i would get divorced one day...I still love him,Bharti!!I really do,but i don't know if i'll be able to forgive him for my abortion but as a wife,i might...I just might,Bharti!!Tell me,what would you do if you were in my shoes??

Bharti:(wiped Mahi's tears)I would never ever forgive him in my life!!Mahi,i would take revenge against him,one step at a time till i destroy him completely..Perhaps,till there is no more remains of him!!Revenge will be my ultimate goal in my life..(Mahi saw the sudden rage in Bharti's eyes as they turned crimson)

Mahi:Bharti??(shook Bharti)Are you ok??

Bharti:Yeah,i juz told you what i might do if i were in your shes..(exhaled deeply)

Mahi:Bharti,i don't think i'm capable of revenge..Anyways,i better get going since itz quite late...(Bharti opened the door)

Bharti:Mahi,you never know what you're capable of..It's great to see that you're healed to a large extent even after so much has happened to you..Anyways yeahh,we'll catch up often,k??Take care!!

Mahi:Bharti,someone told me that revenge is never an option for there are others who care about you...

Bharti:True Mahi,but what if there's no one who cares???(smiled at her)Our discussion can go on to deep lengths so you better get going!!Gd nitezz..

Raj:On my way..What time is the plane landing??

Jiya:10 minutes' time..

Jiya:Waise,you managed to talk to Shreya?

Raj:No yaar,was busy prepping for the hearing...Been kept busy by Garav..Any hopes with Sudha aunty?

Jiya:She's only returning today from Bangalore,from a seminar..No hopes,either!!

Raj:Bechara Armaan,ab toh hum sab ko saath mein hi kuch karna hoga!!

Jiya:Hmm ok,we'll meet up and talk..Jaldi karo!!

Raj:Ok,bye!!(hung up)

Sonali was thinking of the conversation se had overheard in the washroom whilst on the other hand,Mahi thought about her discussion which she just had with Bharti.Feeling so lost,she dropped the glass bowl of salad on the floor,breaking each other's thoughts and silence.

Sonali:Arre Mahi,tum theekh ho?

Mahi:Ermm yeah,i am..So sorry about that!!

Sonali:Come,i'll help you with it...(helped Mahi clean up)

Mahi:How was work?

Sonali:Stressful without you yaar...

Mahi:Fine,i'll definitely come tmr,k?But i've got great news for you yaar..In fact,let me call Raj too...Hold on,k??(Sonu nodded)

Sonali:(wondered)Kahin Bharti ki naukri ke baarein mein toh...(Mahi dialled Raj and Jiya to a conference call)

Mahi:Hey guyzz,Mahi and Sonu here...Kahaa ho tum log?

Raj:Hey babe,ab tum kaisi ho?Hum dono bas Armaan ko receive karke ghar ke liye nikal rahe the...

Sonali:Welcome back Armaan...Sunny missed you badly,by the way!!

Armaan:Very funny,Sonu!!Howz Mahi??Jiya ne sab dhindhora peet liya hain..(Jiya hit Armaan mildly)

Mahi:Hmm,doing great too..But i wanted to give you guyzz some fab news!!

Sonali:Which she hasn't told me as well..

Jiya:Acha,toh phir jaldi sunaao Mahi..

Mahi:Pehle bolne toh do...Bharti's back!!

Jiya:Wow,that's cool but how come she didn't call any of us??Has she forgotten us already??

Mahi:Not at all..In fact,there is a greater news than this!!She's landed a job at Trends,as an Assistant to the Chief Editor!!

Raj:OMG!!!!

Jiya:OMG!!Serious??Matlab,aise hi??

Mahi:She got interviewed today and Trends hired her...So,she'll be working with Mayank from now on..Isn't that just awesome??

Sonali:(thought)Mera shaq sahi nikla...Yeh Mahi aur baaki sab toh bohat khush ho rahi hain Bharti ke job ko lekar sivaayi main..Mujhe jald se jald Mayank se baat karni hogi!!

Jiya:This is such wonderful news,isn't it Armaan??(Raj stopped as he reached Armaan's place)

Both of them saw Armaan taking his suitcase and heading back inside without a word.

Raj:(drove off)Yes Mahi..This is incredible;a perfect opportunity for Bharti's career!!

Mahi:Is he ok,guyzz??(Everyone fell silent,thinking of Armaan)

~Jab Lurve Hua Part 269~

Armaan realized that Sudha wasn't at from her Post-It she had left on the refrigerator. He went for a quick shower and laid down on the sofa.He closed his eyes.

Out of nowhere,he found himself to be following a shadow into the dark.He kept following the shadow which ran away and away from him.He too ceased chasing and watched it but a pile of fog surrounded him,distracting him.He moved back and tried to move away from the fog.By then,he only caught a glimpse of the fading shadow.It vanished into thin air.

Armaan woke up.He blinked in disbelief at what he had just dreamt of.It had made no sense to him at all,neither did the events in his life.The least he had expected was his dreams to make some sense. Just then,Sudha came out of her room,and he wondered how long he was lying down on the sofa that he didn't realize his mum's back.

Armaan:Maa?Aap kab laute the?

Sudha:Jab tu sofe par so raha tha..Bas aadha ghanta pehle..Tum theekh toh ho?

Armaan:Haan,kyun?

Sudha:Nahin,tum itne jaldi uth gaya tha,iss liye..Aaja,Maa ke saath coffee pee le..

Armaan:Maa,you're the best!!Bas ek sapna dekha tha aur uth gaya tha..

Sudha:Shreya ka sapna dekhna bhi shuru kar diya tumne,hhm??

Armaan:Maa!!

Sudha:Kya?Armu,is mein koi buraayi nahin hain,hm?

Armaan:Maa,main Shreya ka sapna kyun dekhunga??Aisa kuch bhi nahin hain..

Sudha:Toh phir kaisa hain,Armu??

Armaan:Maa, mujhe aap se kuch baat..(just then, her mobile rang)

Sudha:Ek minute Armu..(picked up the call)Hi...Yes, this is Dr Sudha speaking...But, she's got no guardian, Lisa...Oh God, follow up on her, quick and get back to me asap!!(hung up)

Armaan:Kya hua Maa?

Sudha:This country's just unbelievably filled with disgusting people..!!

Armaan:Maa??

Sudha:I'm actually assisting my colleague,a paediatrician.. There's this baby, just about 8 months old and she's recuperating from an accident in which her parents passed away. And it's been a week since some couple had been coming over, claiming to be her guardian.. My colleague, Lisa and i made that mistake once with another kid once and in a similar case, which happened recently. It turned out to be a case of child trafficking. This time round, i just want no mistakes in this case, for i've been supervising and taking care of the baby for some time..Anyways. you don't worry about anything..So..

Armaan:(drank coffee)So??

Sudha:Tell me, how was your trip in London?

Armaan:It was great uniting Bhaskar and Payal..It almostt reached the extent where Payal had signed the divorce papers and Bhaskar was on the verge of giving up..But thank God. frdpiyr how old and obsolete Raj's idea sounded, it worked wonders at the right time, Maa...It was practically as if i was watching a movie..

Sudha:Lollz, so the whole credit should go to Raj, then..

Armaan:Not all, but mostly..You should give me the credit too,Maa!!

Sudha:Hayy Armnu, you're too cute!!Anyways, how's Bharti?

Armaan:She's...fine!!

Sudha:Fine?Matlab?

Armaan:Matlab theekh hain aur kya,Maa?

Sudha:Bas theekh thaakh?Yeh kya baat huyi?

Armaan:Maa,woh sab chodo na... Aap mujhe yeh bataao ki aapne aisa kaunsa surprise lan kiya hain?

Sudha:(thought)Lagta hain ki kuch hua hain aur Armu mujhe nahin bataana chahtha hain!!Bharti se baat karni hogi!!

Armaan:Maa, aapko kya hua?

Sudha:Kuch nahin,ek zaroori kaam yaad aa gaya...Excuse me!!

Armaan:Maaa!!!!This is so not fair!!

~Mahi's place~

Sonali:Yaar, yeh salad mere favourite khaana kabse ban gayi,huh?

Mahi:Maine kab kaha ki salad tumhaari favourite khaana hain?

Sonali:Yaar,toh phir table mein kya kar rahi thi?

Mahi:Uffo, kya hain Sonu?

Sonali:Kuch nahin yaar..It's the stress that's talking.

Mahi:Even i'm stressed yaar..

Sonali:Jhooti kahi ki!!Tum toh poora din Bharti ke saath thi na..

Mahi:Haan, par mujhe kuch ghadbad lag rahi hain..

Sonali:Tujhe bhi?

Mahi:Haan yaar..Ek minute...Mujhe bhi,matlab?Tumhe bhi lagta hain ke Bharti mein kuch badlaav hain?

Sonali:Huh?Main...Main toh bas tumhaare saath de rahi thi..Tum aage bol..(bit her tongue)

Mahi:Bata nahin yaar par raat ko jab mai uske ghar mein usse baat kar rahi thi, toh woh ajeeb sa lagaa..I mean, woh toh badle ke baarein mein baat kar rahi thi, you know...

Sonali:Kya??Humaari dost, Bharti aur badle jaisi baatein?

Mahi:Haan yaar, issi liye toh keh rahi hoon ki kuch toh baat zaroor hain..

Sonali:Acha?Hmm, that's really weird..Well, i really pity the guy who deserves Bharti's wrath..I guess she'll never leave him alone!!(Mahi thought of Ved and Alisha and distracted herself, asking about MU projects in the pipeline)

~The Next Day~

Bharti was officially welcomed to her new cabin by the staff of Trends, who were sucking up to her indirectly.Mayank smiled at Bharti who just looked at him blankly. Eveyone soon dispersed except for Shreya and Ishaan and Mayank introduced Bharti to Ishaan and Shreya.

Mayank:Bharti, this is Shreya and..

Bharti:Yes Mayank, i know her...And you must be Ishaan; i've heard quite a bit about you from Mayank..

Ishaan:You did?

Bharti:Yes,of course..I'll be looking forward to working with you both..

Mayank:Well Bharti,if i'm not around, you can always trust them and delegate your work or tasks to them..

Bharti:Sure!!

Mayank:Ok,the two of you can go now...Thanks!!(both Shreua and Ishaan left)

Bharti was getting her food at the cafe when she noticed Ishaan looking at Shreya and Armaan. She got her food and headed to sit near Ishaan.

Bharti:Hii..Do you mind i join you?

Ishaan:Not at all..In fact, it'll be my pleasure and i guess i'll get more people around my desk, wanting to know more about you..

Bharti:What?You seriously got to stop that..I've had some guyz who were trying so hard, to hit on me successfully just now,which reminded me of my college days..So, erm how long have you been working here?

Ishaan:About a year plus..

Bharti:Is it very hard tp not have a love life at work?

Ishaan:What?Who said so??

Bharti:Nah, i was just asking..

Ishaan:Isn't office politics enough to keep us gng at work that you wanna add another mess to the list of our troubles??

Bharti:Lollz,true that, Ishaan!!Are you close to Shreya?

Ishaan:No, i'm just a colleague..Just a colleague!!(Bharti noticed his look at Shreya once again)

Shreya:Bharti!!!(Bharti had thought of escaping but Shreya called her and she stopped; she turned around and saw Armaan and looked away)

Bharti closed her eyes, feeling caught red-handed while trying to escape.

"Mayank is waiting for me and i'd rather rush...But if i were to go without talking to Shreya, she'll make a fuss for no reason..I've got to pretend as though nothing nothing happened between me and Armaan so that she wouldn't even figure a thing and be with Armaan happily."

She smiled and turned around.

Bharti:Hi Shreya..Hi Armaan..

Armaan:Hii...(smiled in confusion and pondered)What the heck?Did she just say Hi to me?

Shreya:You seem to be in a rush..

Bharti:Yeahh,lots of meetings..And right now,i'm going to meet Mayank..

Shreya:Ok,ok,i won't take long..I''ve got some news for you..(spoe softly)I'll soon be getting engaged to Armaan!!!Can you believe it???

Bharti:OMG!!!!(looked around and softened her tone; Armaan looked at Shreya in total confusion)This is incredible news, Shreya!!!!(retended to be all so surprised but Armaan was far more shocked at Bharti's reaction)I'm so,so,so thrilled for you two lovebirds...Mom must be so happy that you finally agreed to her wish, Armaan...So,congratzz for you've made the right choice!!(Armaan remembered the exact words which she had uttered to him before she departed from the airport and both of looked at each other subtly before Bharti hugged Shreya)

Shreya:Aww Bharti, this is so sweet of you..Now, i know why Armaan looks up to you as a dear friend...You're so supportive of him that i want to pull his ears of even thinking of avenging you...

Bharti:(withdrew from the hug)The past is past..Life doesn't stay still, Shreya...(looked at Armaan while saying) We just gotta move on!!(snapped out)Shreya,i'll get going fast...You two lovebirds carry on!!(left from there)

Shreya:Isn't she the sweetest?

Armaan:She is...(thought) She knew about the engagement plan all along?And thatz why she said i finally made the right decision to move ahead in my life...Maa's desire to see me engaged is getting fulfilled now..And she just called me a lovebird..But,but...She talked to me!!OMG!!(smiled)Shreya,i''ve just recalled some important work; i'll talk to you soon...Bye!!

Shreya:Ok,bye...We must be very happy by the engagement surprise...He took it well, so that basically means that i can fix a date quickly quickly with Maa..OMG!!(jumped a lil in excitement before heading back to work)

Bharti was heading to the conference room from the lift lobby with her pile of papers but just then, Gaurav came out of the lift and bumped into her, dropping all of her papers. Initially he apologized but Bharti had asked him to pick up all the papers, without not looking at his face. Just as she was about to go, he said something which made her stop. She recognized that irksome voice and turned around.

Gaurav:Is this a bizarre universe which keeps us bumping into each other?(headed towards her gradually)

Bharti:(rolled her eyes)Wow,another guy added to the list of idiots who've been trying to hit on me..What are you...Stalking me,huh?

Gaurav:Hayye Bharti..I would die to stalk you but don't degrade me to be in a list..Main toh tumhaari sacha aashiq hoon..

Bharti:Don't you dare touch me!!

Gaurav:Forgotten our dance at Goa,hmm?

Bharti:What dance,huh?Mind you, i had even bothered that day to get my mind off someone..

Gaurav was inside the lift when the doors opened at Men's Universe, where Mahi and Sonali entered. They were chatting all the way, while Gaurav enjoyed the pleasure of eavesdropping.

Sonali:Waise,hum kahaa jaa rahe hain?
Mahi:We got a conference,remember??
Sonali:Arre,Jiya aur Raj Armaan ke liye plans banaa rahe the.. Sunn kar toh haa sakte the na hum..
Mahi:Tumhe itna interest kyun hain??Agar tumhe waaqay mein leni hi hain, toh apni zindagi mein jaakh kar dekh..Kab baat karke tumhaare aur Pushpak ke beech sab kuch theekh karoge,hmm??
Sonali:Oh,God Mahi!!!Just stop bringing in Pushpak..It's not working between us,ok?Or else he would have done something by now..Ab humein Armaan,Shreya aur Bharti ke baarein mein sochni chaahiye...

Mayank invited Bharti to his conference room where a lot of the important staff members were present. She grew stunned and froze in shock for she had no clue of what she ought to say. Just as Mayank asked her to talk about the first day at work, Gaurav had taken a seat right across her,infuriating her. Mayank was quick to notice it and he held her hand, nudging her to answer his question. She answered as bieflynas possible since she saw quite a lot of disinterested faces but Mayank butted in, asking for contributions of ideas from the remaining staff for the next few shoots in the pipeline. Bharti took note of several contributions discussed and soon, the meeting ended and everyone dispersed xcept for Bharti, Mayank and Gaurav.

Bharti:I screwed it up, didn't I, Mayank?
Mayank:It's all part of work..And it's going to be worse from tomorrow onwards..
Bharti:You're supposed to be motivating me..
Mayank:Trust me, i'm doing just that and try not to embarass yourself here by creating unwanted scenes..Saw what happened outside your cabin...Erm before you go, go get me this account cleared from the accounting department..Tell him it's for the shoots.Get the accounts verified and get back to me asap before going off,k?

Mahi and Sonali were standing by the pavement, wanting to cross over to the other side where Mahi's car was parked. As Mahi had planned, Pushpak too appeared nearby, without Sonali's knowledge. Sonali didn't see the black BMW heading towards her as she was about to cross over, calling for Mahi. Pushpak stopped Mahi and diverted her attention. He instantly grabbeSonali's wrist and pushed her back to Mahi. Sonali hugged Mahi who was as equally scared as her best friend. She had only called Pushpak to come and talk to Sonali but he appeared as an angel in disguise. However, she looked down and shouted.

Mahi:Pushpak!!
Sonali:(grew shocked)OMG!!Pushpak???Tum theekh toh ho??(Mahi was about to go and attend to him but she stepped back and watched her best friend with a heartwarming smile, the way Sonu forgot all her fights with Pushpak and caressed him, placing his head on her lap)Mahi, tum jaldi apne gaadi lekar aao..Humein foran hospal jaana hoga..Mahi??
Mahi:Haan,main bas abhi aati hoon..(rushed to Fortis Hospital,which was nearby)

Bharti tapped on the accountant's shoulder, and passed tow cheques of Mayank's to him. Bharti thought that she could get the cheque cleared in no time but apparently she was so wrong. Instead, when she questioned him about it, he simply showed her the stack of cheques, and simply asked her to wait and she agreed to do so,sitting on the small couch installed there. Just then, she noticed Ash having come with her cheque. Bharti was quite surprised by the sudden change in the accountant's behaviour; he had cleared the cheque for Ash instantly. She began thinking,

"Yeh office itna ajeeb hain..Ash ki cheque clear kar diya aur woh bhi fatafat?I had clearly told him nicely that i have to get this done asap but he'd given a damn about it!!"

Ishaan:Bharti??
Bharti:Huh?Ishaan,tum yahaa?
Ishaan:Woh cheque clear karne aaya tha..Tum bhi?

Bharti:The perfect end to a first day...I was just trying to play nice but yeah,you are right,Ishaan...

~Fortis Hospital~

Bharti headed out of the lift lobby when Maria called her. She passed the project file with some instructions from Mayank and as the lift doors opened, she was shocked to see Gaurav and Armaan in the lift. Both Armaan and Bharti gazed at each other but just then, Bharti looked elsewhere as she recalled Shreya telling her about her engagement to Armaan as a secret surprise and the date would be announced soon. Gaurav had noticed both of them from the start and tried playing a game with both of them. The lift doors were about to close but Armaan took off Gaurav's hand and pressed the "Door Open" sign and gestured to Bharti to come inside. Bharti merely entered, that a few employees pushed her further inside and she fell towards Armaan.

Bharti:Ouch!!

Armaan:Kya hua Bharti?(the lift sddenly stopped but only for a short while before it started again)

Bharti:Kuch nahin...I'm sorry!!

Gaurav:Hi Bharti,in case you didn't notice me..

Bharti:How can i not have noticed you?(the other employees got out of the lift)You've been bugging me all day..

Gaurav:Isn't that a compliment coming from you??

Bharti:(glared at him)What do you want?

Gauav:(held her wrist and brought her to stand next to him) I've got some bad news..I don't think i can save Raj's career..

Bharti:Screw you, Gaurav!!You know what?That's a relief and i already knew that you're an incapable lawyer and now i'm definitely not going on that stupid date with you that you so desperately wanted...Keep dreaming if you ever think i'll go on a date with you!!(got out of the lift and headed home)Idiot!!I should have known better..Arrgghhh!!!He irks me so much...I wish i could do something to save Raj's career!!!

Mayank:Arre par maine socha tha ki aaj hum dono Bhart ke har jaayenge, Naina ki kamra sajaane mein uski madat karenge aur saath milkar dinner karenge...

Niharika:Ahem, maine socha tha ki yeh humaare quality time hoga...Bharti kahaa se aa gayi?

Mayank:Tumhe koi parishaani hain,hmm?

Niharika:Bilkul bhi nahin Mayu, main bas aise hi pooch rahi thi..In fact, Naina aaj waapas aa rahi hain London se Bhaskar aur Payal ke saath?

Mayank:Haan...So, you're not cancelling on me or Bharti,right?I mean, i've already told her that we're coming but if you can't, then let me know!!

Niharika:(thought to herself)I can go to Raj's place first and then meet Mayu for dinner..Yeahh,that should do it!!

Mayank:Arre Nihu jaldi bol...Meeting beech mein chod kar aaya hoon...

Niharika:Haan ok, par main thodi dher ke baad ki pohanch sakti hoon...I'll be quite late, if that's ok?

~Along the Way~

Armaan kept thinking of his encounter with Bharti at the lift and the interaction between her and Gaurav. The date, which they talked about, undoubtedly made him so uncomfortable and equally mad at the same time. Bharti clearly distracted his thoughts until now and he was beginning to loathe himself even more. He ought to be thinking of helping Raj but he's clearly engrossed in some other thoughts. He called Jiya on his mobile but she kept disconnecting his calls, which infuriated him even further and he accelerated his driving speed as he headed for home.

~Fortis Hospital~

Sudha:Jiya, thanks a tonne for having done this, dear...My seminar ended a bit earlier since i thought i would be expecting a lengthier Q & A session but thankfully, it's not too late, i hope..

Jiya:No wayzz, Sudha aunty...I'm always here to help you yo help you but you just never ask...

Sudha:(smiled)Thanks dear...I owe you a big favor..

Jiya:Really, Aunty?

Sudha:Yeah,of course..

Jiya:You'll do anything for me?

Sudha:Of course meri jaan, is that a question to ask?Waise, have you fed the baby the bottle of milk?

Jiya:Yeah i did, 10 minutes back...Aunty, it will really mean a lot to me..

Sudha:(looked at Jiya)It seems like you have something on your mind, Jiya..

Jiya:Yes Aunty..It's about Raj!!His career might be in the dumpster because of this preliminary hearing..

Sudha:What do you mean?You guyz hired a lawyer,right?

Jiya:Yeah, we did but chances are very slim for Raj, ever since Khushi and Niyati's gone...Raj doesn't even want Khushi back here cuz he doesn't want any harm done to the baby..

Sudha:I still don't understand what you want from me..

Jiya:Aunty, actually Armaan and i wanted to talk to you about this at home..He should be there by now..Shall we go??

Sudha:Ok,come!!(looked at Jiya in doubt)

Jiya:Aunty, let me drive..(Sudha nodded while she carried the baby)

~Trends~

Mayank returned to Trends to pick up the Book, which needed last-minute modifications on the advertusements, articles and credentials. Just then, the phone on his desk rang. It was Maria who informed him that Mahi's come. Mayank was quite shocked but he instructed Maria to let her in.

Mayank:(looked away from the door and fidgeted to himself)What the hell did i say Yes for?Obviously she's here to create yet another scene...But...But usually she wouldn't wait to inform Maria..Something's wrong with her!!

Mahi:(knocked) Can i come in?

Mayank:(confused as ever)What??(widened his eyes in disbelief, not being able to believe what he's hearing)Yeah,come in...(both of them looked blankly at each other)

Mahi:Hey...

Mayank:(lowered his eyes and looked to his right before looking back at her)Hey..Have a seat!!

Mahi:(smiled softly but ceased to do so after a while, feeling uneasy)Are you in a rush?

Mayank:Well i was but...You came all of a sudden and i...I kinda forgot what i was rushing for...(looked away and hit his head)

Mahi:I'm sorry..

Mayank:What???(both looked blankly at each other)

Mahi:I'm sorry for everything!!For making things complicated in your life, for intruding your privacy and crossing the lines..

Mayank:What for, Mai?You always tend to lash out whatever is in your mind at me...So, go ahead!!Why bother being so patient and polite today??Don't you want to vent your frustrations out today??

Mahi:I made a grave mistake, depriving you of an opportunity to start a friendship..And i shouldn't have uttered Radhika's name..I shouldn't have and i'm sorry!!(Mayank leaned closer to hear that)

Mayank:Who the hell do you think you are, Mahi? Don't think highly of yourself just because i'm saying nothing..You should never have compared your past with mine for they are vastly distinct from each other!!!I just wanted to befriend you for you're Bharti's friend and perhaps i could relate to the loss of a loved one too, share my sorrows but you've simply wanted to take advantage of my past and ruin everything!!(turned away)

Mahi:I'm sorry...(held Mayank's wrist)I plead before you...Don't i deserve another chance?? I know a certain history between us surely doesn't favour us being seen by the rest for it would only feed more gossip..That is something which we both don't wish to possess at this moment but i believe that i still stand a chance because both of us would need each other's assistance at some point of time...

Mayank:Oh really??What makes you think so???(Mahi looked at him in surprise and took her hands away from his wrist)What makes you think that i'll be ever dependent on you in any manner,hmm??I have never depended on anyone in my life nor will i ever depend on anyone, especially you!!I'm content where i am..With Bharti, no intervention is necessary from your side...You can leave!!!(Mahi left with a sulken ad disappointed face wile Mayank rushed to Amore to pick Niharika up but Sush informed him that she had already left and he rushed for home)

~Airport~

Payal and Bhaskar together with Naina went to the baggage counter to claim their baggages. There was an unimaginable sense of relif and solace on the face of Payal who had reclaimed the pieces of her life together, thanks to Armaan's and Bharti's efforts. As she pulled the suitcase from the belt, she almost hit her foot, which she herself hadn't realized when she saw a familiar face from a distance.

Payal:Khushi??

Khushi:Payal!!!

Payal:Huh?(Bhaskar directed to her toes and Payal pointed to Khushi)

Bhaskar:(wand at Khushi)Pehle apne pair par dhyaan do..

Payal:Sorry Bhasku...(saw a smiling Khushi approacing them)Hi Khushi, what an awesme surprise this is!!

Khushi:Really??In that case, i', flattered but jokes apart, if i'm back here, it's only due to Bharti!!

Bhaskar:What??

Khushi:She asked me to come and help her and Raj out.. (Payal and Bhaskar looked blankly at each other)Raj's having a preliminary hearing and she said se could ned my help..

Payal:Wow,ok i see...OMG, this is fantastic!!Raj will be happy to see you here; he surely needs your support..

Khushi:Gee, thanks to the both of you..I'll be here for Raj as long as possible, no worried..Niyati and Nidhi are safe in my home, far from any trouble..OMG, is this our Naina??

Bhaskar:Yes indeed she is..She has been such a darling in assisting me in my pranks on Payal...It was such a fun honeymoon with Payal and Naina at London and that too after a long time...

Khushi:Ohho Bhaskar and Payal, i can't believe that Naina joined you two together on your HM, haha...How did Bharti even agree to it?

Payal:We kinda begged her..It was never in Bharti's nature to part from her Naina but we succeeded and the three of us had a blast together!!

Khushi:WOW!!!Gosh how i wish o had met you guyz in London itself..Hmm,do send my regards to Bharti...I'll be heading to Raj's place right away..Take care, Naina!!(the trio and Khushi waved at each other before parting from the airport

~Raj's place~

Niharika reached Raj's place but she was surprised to see his home door locked. Niharika checked under his door mat but to no avail. She smiled and opened his shoe rack drawer and saw his keys. She unlocked his home door and went inside.

~Armaan's place~

Sudha:Jiya, so tell me what have you and Armaan planned in your heads for me, hmm?

Jiya:Armaan ko toh aane do na, Aunty..

Sudha:Oh my, bachi toh uth gayi...Main bas abhi aayi,Jiya..

Jiya:Haan ok Aunty..(murmured)Bata nahin ki yeh Armaan kaha reh gaya..

~Bharti's place~

Bharti received a text message from Khushi that she's heading to Raj's place and she might drop by her place later. Bharti is excited to receive her message for a ray of hope began to sprout in her mind, feeling the vibes of positivity that Raj's career can be possibly saved by a friend indeed. Meanwhile, she began decorating Naina's room, blowing up colored balloons and drawing characters from her favourite story, Echanted and soon, she drew a manageable portrait of Naina and herself with the help of some software she had downloaded on trial from her netboo, while waiting for Mayank and Niharika.

~Raj's place~

Niharika waited for Raj in the dining room with an expensive bottle of wine she had brought with herself. She looked at her watch and decided to keep her mobile on silent mode so that it would deem as a perfect excuse for her in front of Mayank later. She continued waiting for Raj, who was busy indulging in great drinks at Rheo Pub.

He had no idea of Niharika waiting for him at his place and she tried to call him; it appeared that his mobile was switched off. This bothered Niharika so much that she wanted to leave the moment itself but then she stopped herself from over-reacting. After some time, she checked her mobile and murmured, " Raj, you seriously owe me big this time round for i have never ignored so many calls from Mayu before. It's been more than two hours since you last picked up my call, Raj. Where are you????"

Mahi just reachd home to see Sonal pacing up and down in bouts of anxiety. Mahi smiled and went to calm her best friend and talk about her troubles while Armaan ju st reached home, shocked to see Jiys cuddling a baby and playing with her.

Jiya:Hi Armaan, aa na...

Armaan:Jiya,tum yahaa??

Sudha:Lo.Armu bhi aa gaya..Aaja, main tumhaare coat leti hoon...

Armaan:Maa,rehne do na..Kya kar rahi ho?

Sudha:Aa jaao, pehle mujhe tum dono se ek khaas baat karni hain..

Armaan:Bohat urgent hain?

Sudha:Haan,baith jaao!!

~Raj's place~

"This is just unbelievable!!!I'm just going to head back home for good!!At first, he called me to meet him but now i just got no clue of his whereabouts at all!!God knows where he is and what he's thinking right now!!"(left from there after having placed a note next to the wine she had brought for the both of them)

~Bharti's place~

Bharti:(on her landlin, wireless phone)Mayu, kaha ho tum yaar?

Mayank:Tumhaare ghar ke darwaaze ke saamne..Jaldi khol yaar,kabse khada hoon??

Bharti:Kya???(opened her home door and hung up)Uffo Mayu, tum ghanti toh bajaa sakte the na?

Mayank:Haan, par yeh expression miss karta na...I just loved the silliness and irritated expression of your's!!(came inside)

Bharti:Very funny!!!Nihu kahaa hain?

Mayank:Bata nahin Bharti...(sounded different)Kabse usse phone kar raha hoon par woh hain ke phone uthaa nahin rahin hain...(got inside and Bharti locked the door)

Bharti:Sab theekh toh hain na Mayu?

Mayank:I hope so, yaar...I mean, isse pehle Nihu kabhi aisa nahin kiya tha...Bata nahin ki koi parishaani ki wja hain ke nahin..(hung his coat on he chair at the dining table before helping Bharti with dinner)

Bharti:Damn it Mayu; i shouldn't have called you when you're so tensed up like this, yaar...

Mayank:Shut up Bharti!!You don't even know if anything was going to happen..Plus, i always wanted to spend a lil more time with Naina too...I'll get to do that tonight!!I want to see her room before she sees it...Come on na!!

Bharti:Lo.meri angel ka naam le liya aur woh aa gayi..It must be her!!Come...(opened the door and welcomed Bhaskar, Payal and Naina; Bharti knelt down and hugged her Naina. She carried her daughter inside and swirled her around)

Naina:Mama...Mamaaa!!!(Bharti stopped and hugged her tightly)

Bharti:I missed you so much, my princess..

Naina:Mama, i love you..

Bharti:What??Aww meri jaan, who taught you this?

Naina:(pointed to Payal and Bhaskar)I had lots of fun in London.. Mama, aapko toh bhi humaare saath honi chaahiye..

Bharti:What did you guyz do to my Naina,hmm??Goshh...(kissed Naina's forehead)

Bhaskar:Bharti, is there something on the stove?

Bharti:OMG!!!(rushed to the open kitchen just in time and Mayu helped her out, as Bhaskar and Payal remain amused at the plight)

Bhaskar:Bharti has not changed one bit...

Payal:It feels so good to be back home with her..Bhaskar, thanks for agreeing to return earlier..

Bhaskar:Come on Paayu, i was missing her badly as well...

Payal:I love you...

Bhaskar:I love you too...(stopped smiling as both of them saw Naina chuckling to herself)

Payal:Come Naina, let's change your clothes!!

~Armaan's place~

Armaan: Maa seriously, i'm quite sweaty..I need to change my clothes..

Sudha:Oh so, you're rushing me when you and Jiya have something to tell me, hmm?

Armaan:What?

Sudha:Jiya, are you going to spill it or are you going to do the honours, Armu?

Armaan:Maa, i'm seriously clueless here..Jiya, what's the deal here?

Sudha:Jiya???

Jiya:Aunty,i'm..(looked hesitantly at Armaan but quickly looked back at Sudha)Aunty, Armaan and i were so prod of you for safeguarding this adorable baby...You must have heard of Raj's case na, Aunty?

Sudha:Yes, the hearing is tomorrow..Has the preparations by his lawyer been set?

Jiya:I'm afraid not, Aunty...According to Gaurav, chances are very slim and Raj's career could be very much evastated,,Aunty, i know you've been very fond of and well-versed with Uncle's amazing works of photography and you do know how formidable it is to land a career in fashion photography, right?I mean..Raj just have about 4 more months with this contract and both Armaan and i were thinking that if we..(Armaan closed his eyes in controlling his temper) If we could just take some photos with the baby girl you're taking care of, with the sole intention of helping Raj..

Sudha:WHAT???(Armaan opened his eyes and stood up)

Sudha:Yeh Jiya kya keh rahi hain Armaan?Kya yeh sach hain?Bolo,Armu!!(held his shoulder blades but let them go when she saw no attempt of a response from her son)OMG?What was i even thinking?That...that my son would ever change?That he wouldn't hide any more secrets after his contract marriage to Bharti?No Armaan, you can never change at all!!You really make me feel so useless in my life, do you know that but you know what?Do as you wish!!!(went to her room but got stopped by Jiya)

Jiya:Aunty,please ruk jaayiye..Yeh sab meri soc hain, please aap...

Sudha:(withdrew her hands from her wrist)Excuse me, Jiya!!(went to er room)

Jiya: (went to Armaan)Armaan, cme on yaar..Meri baat sunn aur Aunty ko manaaoo yaar...Main yeh sab kuch humaare Raj ke liye kar rahi hoon..Mere saah toh do Armu, please...

Armaan:Just keep quiet, Jiya!!!Maa has lost total faith in me ever since my marriage to Bharti..I have neer hidden anything from my Maa before and you know that very well Jiya...(Armaan wiped his ears hile Jiya almost wept) I've told you several times that i'm not going to be part of your ploy to use the baby for photo-shoots to help Raj. We can think of something else for Raj or else we'll always be by his side no matter what the outcome may be...Right now, i don't want to talk about anything which may make me regret my actions..We'll talk at MU tomorrow..Just go from here!!(Jiya left from there)Papa, i'm so sorry that i've brought tears to my Maa's eyes once all over again. I've broken her heart deeply but not any more..(thought of his relation with Shreya, his past relationship with Bharti and closed his eyes whilst Sudha looked on)
