Sonu I guess is tied with indian idol and yes he left to puruse green pastures and now that sa re ga ma pa is getting attention and recognition as one of the greatest shows and that shaan is a good anchor it might hurt. However, we are seeing sa re ga ma pa is also going into glitz and glamor to attract viewers and is supassing idol which maybe another reason sonu wants tobe a part of this. Regardless Sonu is a great singer and I wonder what he tinks of vineet idolizing him and all saying he sings like him? UMMM?

well its sa re ga ma pa area so here we are more inclined to talk about that. In terms of your opinions well you have the right. I wish prinkya was more outspoken here as she was on idol I guess since sa re is mor about quality wheras idol the glamour aspect is very obviously exploited. I guess sonu is getting irritated that people are putting more attention on apperance than perfomance.

Thecatch22 (as himesh used) is that its hard not to take apperance or performance into account since these people are on tv. The only wat wouldbe is to shut your eyes and listen objectively. If that isdone than lose entertainment value. Well as prinkya said idol is not just singing performance is has important unlike sa re ga ma pa where singing is main priority, however as of now I think since its open to public its also has many other things like other shows and singing is not the main priority andmake overs were also at sa re ga ma pa to make singers look more attracitve and that will happen when you leave it to the public. Well thats my analysis!

Actually Sonu has no regrets on quitting SRGM and he's not thankful to SRGM for giving him the recognition. There was a 30 min documentary 'Sensational Sonu' hosted by II1's Rahul Vaidya. In that Sonu was talking about his days of struggle. Then Rahul asked him about the television show. (They did not mention the name SRGM). On that Sonu said. "Yeah got that show, it increased my price for music shows, but did not do anything for me in my musical carreer."

I felt that was so rude. Then in to contrast his statement, Subhash Ghai on SRGMP, when Vinit sang Yeh Dil Deewana, said that I saw Sonu on your show and offered the song from Pardes.

SRGM was just a stepping stone for him, tossed it away when he achieved fame.

Shaan is the best, jo chhor gaya so chhor gaya. When he left SRGMP he had broken so many hearts, SRGMP people used to love him.

I say in Indian Idol, only Sonu comments and critizes the participants correctly. When the contestants sing bad, he tells them directly but the other judges are always like " I disagree with Sonu. You were absoluty amazing!" I don't like that. That's why, i watch II only for Karunya.
