I hate that you are right. Punit is such an amazing dancer but chances are the audience will vote him off because he hasn't been given enough attention on the show.
Take a look at Dharmesh. They showed his whole extremely boring love triangle/square or whatever it is and he got public attention. Binny had her share of attention with the whole training and even that little speech she gave to salman. Kruti had a bit about her parents and her clothes lol. Vandana talked about her parents and the promise she made them about her dancing. Kishore had an emotional scene with his mum. Even Kunwar and Shakti have done well and got a fair bit of fame through their mindblowing performances. Naresh had mentioned about his brother Mangesh training him and how he will complete their dream etc. Nikki had gifts from her family in USA. Bhawna had created a scene in auditions regarding one of the guys touching her during a salsa performance. Shashank talked about his fallout with his guru. The list just goes on and on.

Punit is the ONLY guy that has stayed away from any sort of drama. I do not remember him getting caught up in any controversy. 😕 I am not a fan of drama so I am not asking for something like setting him up with a female contestant. I just want him to get a chance to speak in front of the camera so the audience knows what he is like and if they like his dance then they can vote for him. I don't want him to be one of them 'what's his name again' kinda contestants. But then again the editing might play a role and they can conveniently cut out bits they want and leave bits to make one contestant seem better than the other in order to 'guide' the audience as to who we should vote for.

^^^ I agree with you, H4L... Punit is a great dancer and passed out of TL's dance school, and that could be why he is so humble and doesnt try to take a dig at every chance to gain attention... I also agree that his performance in the Chand duet wasnt recognized very well that day, even though he did a great flawless job... He was amazing in that number, but little focus was given to it except for Terence's positive comments... I also think that this duet choreography was more harder and amazing than the Shashank-Bhavna one...

But anyway, it is kinda too early to predict about any upcoming dramas - Zee always has some spicy stuff going on, one way or other!! LOL... I would hate to see same kind of drama like last year for Punit or anyone... Even the love drama is making me sick!! LOL...

One thing I forgot to mention in my post earlier - Rani, you are saying how much Nikki knows and she is very versatile and all that, but that's because you know her in person for so long and the viewers dont know her like that. So you cannot expect everyone to jump in to believe she is the most versatile in DID-2 or even versatile for that matter. The same way you are talking about Shakti not being versatile - how do you know for sure?? People who know her in person would be saying differently, and what you are saying about Nikki, they will repeat about Shakti! So you cannot blame the show or the masters or even the dancers, but we should patiently wait until each dancer gets a chance to prove himself or herself... If Nikki has proved her talent and versatility to the viewers, why do you worry about her so much, because she would be kept safe by the viewers if they like her. Same goes to Shakti and anyone else in the show... We cannot force people to vote for someone, they will do so only if they want to and only to those they like to vote for... 😊

I agree with you here!

one more thing I forgot to mention
@ cutiepie rani: I really don't wanna hurt ur feelings but I think u r a little biased about Nikkitasha 😕 According to me, she deserved to be nominated. it's good that she tried something new and different but the fact is that she wasn't flawless! I liked Meenu and Bhavna a little better on friday, so I think her nomination was justified! That being said, I loved her Saturday's performance! 👏

um i don't know about me being biased because i know i'm not the only one that thought meenu was weaker that day. and i never said her performance was flawless. it was not and she had mistakes here and there. if you think that's being biased, so fine i'm biased. i won't lie there are times when i am biased for a certain contestant. =/ i don't know. i don't care either. its just that everyone has the right to support their favorite contestant. shouldn't i have that right too? even if its being biased? and don't worry about hurting my feelings. i knew before making this thread that not everyone would agree with me and people would say things, some positive some negative! :) i'm a singer! i've learned to take negative comments too! hahahhaa! =) but thank you guys for sharing your opinions! actually i think this thread should be the discussion of the week! what say mods? 😆

Rani...I agree versatility is very important for a dancer...Nikki is versatile but I have to say she was not good as she could have been in that dance. Her effort was showing, and she looked as if she was trying her best. Nikki is a tall girl and hence Punnet was chosen to match her, but I think Nikki did bring down the performance a bit, Puneet inspite of everything rocked so I don't want to take any credit away from him. But Nikki was not close in comparison to Puneet, inspite of the fact that she was not bearing anyones weight. Maybe the bottom choice could have been between Meenu and Nikki, but I think it was ok to nominate her. Nikki tried a new genre but that is the game of the show. Last year even Vrushali and Mayuresh tried the masala salsa on Rang Barse and there was one portion wehre Mayuresh had to roll Vrushali up, and there was a liltte effort shown, Remo and Geeta were quick enough to point that out and Vrushali who was only a classical dancer was sent to the bottom 3. She being a good and versatile dancer pulled herself out. I think Nikki's last performance with Puneet was not enjoyable to me...

Oh BTW, Kunwar is not a trained dancer and did the contemporary dance. Geeta was quik to point out a flaw (a flaw that never existed in the first place) in his performance. One of the quintessential requirement of a dancer is how well he/she picks up the choreography and executes it.
Siddhesh and Gudiya (i keep forgetting her real name, lol), are not trained in Kathakalli but totally rocked the performance last season😊
So, basically what i am trying to say, one cotestant should not be given an advatnage over the others simply bcoz they attempted something different!

Versatility is good as it shows that a dancer is a good learner and adaptable to try out other forms.
Its easier for a classical dancer to pick up other forms due to the rigors of training - that sure is N'tasha plus point.
However, Shakti is a very unique and a carefree dancer which is very refreshing.
There needs to be more dance san drama/politics to be able to talk about the top contenders. Hope the deserving dark horse wins ....

im not trying to give advantage over a contestant because he/she tried a different form. i just think that if they did attempt a different form, they should be noted and credited for that fact alone. then being nominated or eliminated is a whole different story. but i do agree on your views! =) and by no means am i trying to be biased towards tashu. i know it may sound that way. but it just kind of got to me how everyone just put her off that day. i know it wasn't a flawless performance. she made quite a few mistakes. everyone has their day! no one's perfect! hahaa!

I respect your opinions completely. And I agree with most of what you have said. As I stated earlier my only problem was that no one praised her for what she did and most importantly tried. Remo ji had enough confidence in her to allow her to try this act with punit. no doubt punit was just AMAZING in the act! tashu has never done lifts before like she said. and she was not flawless. she had errors in her dance. I don't think she brought the performance down. I think she really tried to do her best, but probably wasn't able to pull it off as well as she wanted to. i don't know how rehersals were or how they were taught to do it so i can't say much.
