@Adios:

I think that is his only profession. He writes for the New Indian Express. And occasionally his articles have been published in the Outlook or some other magazines. He also puts up all his reviews on his blog.

From what I know he studied engineering at BITS Pilani and then he went abroad and (I think) did some creative writing degree.

This is a link to all his reviews:

I would definitely recommend reading the Shaka Laka Boom Boom one. Its so funny.

i dont like critics...i like trade analysts...taran adarsh, komal nahta, indu mirani all are decent and give fine trade reviews...

now coming to..the critic i dislike personally..its rajeev masand..jeez he always has high expectations from each movie...thts why he give such pathetic ratings to every film without knowing what kind of film it is...i never enjoy his reviews at all...

Wow intersting career choices made by him.. So he is kinda like a freelance reviewer right now.. I am sure he will get picked up by a big name in the industry soon..

Oops I keep messing this up. but its the New Sunday Express. All his reviews and regular columns appear in that newspaper so I guess they pay him.

Then he writes occasional pieces that aren't reviews nor his regular columns. These appear in random magazines sometimes.

A few times I have seen directors commenting on his blog. One of them was asking him to review his film. The other commented on a review of his film.

So anyone know of any brutal bollywood reviewers in bollywood or outside bollywood that slice and dice the film into pieces??? Those kinds are funny to read.

I dont know of any good film critics.. but I think Simon cowell who has left American idol should take up this job.. he has a natural instinct and the skill required for this job.. About the Indian ones.. what I would like to have would be someone writing reviews in shudh hindi.. I dont know of many hindi e-newzpapers.. and any famous critic who writes in hindi..

Best has to be baradwaj rangan
worst has to be taran adarsh
rajeev masand comes somewhere in the middle but the funniest has to be sudhish kamath I love this guy's reviews
entertainment quotient is very high.i like that in a review some times reviews tend to be boring but sudhish's reviews are never boring.
