Hello everyone! I've been on IF for quite a while. But I've only recently joined the PR forum. Just as a disclaimer, some of what I've written may offend some Manav fans. Let me just say, that I am a Manav fan also. But Im majorly annoyed with him right now...lol Below are a few critiques and theories for the future. 😉

So..

I am sorely disappointed in PR. After a GREAT⭐️ beginning, this show has taken a turn off into Balaji typicality. Same old nonsense. The male character is obtuse, angry, and unwilling to listen to reason. He also marries multiple times, and moons over the one that got away. Correction, the one he SENT away. He ofcourse is the victim in all this...whatever😆. I'm sick and tired of the male protagonist always being so WEAK. Why , Why, Why, can't they make an emotionally strong (ie developed) male character?? Its just so depressing to watch our sweetuu😊 Manav become such a loser.

Yes yes, I understand he has experienced great pain. He lost his brother. And his family has gone through a horrific experience. I understand all that.

But let me say just one thing. Your exerpiences, however horrific they may be, do not condone the mistreatment of others. He has NO right to disrespect or mistreat Archu. He is not mistreating Archu you say?? I think so. She isn't some stranger. She is his WIFE. Whether he's angry or not, hurt or not, HE has NOOO right to Engage himself to another!

Yeah so she didnt trust him when she was supposed to. So what? They had been married for all of 2 months (and had spent a totall of 1 month together), TRUST TAKES TIME. Its not instant. People have to work at it. Its called marriage. People doubt, fight, move out, run back, make up and kiss. They do not abandon each other. And Archu did not abandon him. He abandoned her, at every turn.

BUt anyways...I'm getting off track.

Another weak willed character who pisses me off to no End, is the wonderfully, tear-stricken, heartbroken Shravani...🤢....argghhhh!! I seriously want to puke whenever she has a scene. Hats off to balaji for once more creating another typical character. I just love her tears. Her pity parties when she puts her hands on her stomach protectively (IN FRONT OF MANAV😡😲😡) are also well done. This young lady knows how to lay on the guilt. She also knows how to get what she wants. You know what I say ??

Let her get what she wants. 👏👏👏...I wholeheartedly support her want to marry Manav.

Let her live with that weak-willed man and his CRAZYYYY Aai.

I say YES.

All those times SAVITA maharani yelled at Archu...just imagine shravani getting that treatment instead⭐️....I can barely wait. Lets see what Miss Pampered-Girish ji's daughter deal with the ugly (and ever so tactful) Saviti Maharani. I want to see her regret her selfishness. I want Manav to realize what a horrible mistake he made. And I want every single Deshmukh to realize what a blessing Archana truly was.

Because really, there is no better daughter-in-law in all of telly kingdom than Archana. ⭐️⭐️⭐️...and ofcourse, let our pyari Archu fall in luv with a tall, handsome man of dignity and of brains ), who will love her AND honour her janam janam ke liye.

😆😆...because lets face it, our sweetu Manav does not have much brains

ANYways...once again I've gotten off track. Too summaraize, typical characters and typical formulas have once again ruined a perfectly good show. My question to you all, is What Now? What would you like to see happen?

I wud say just give some time to the character of Manav. I know right now a lot of people are angry cos of his decision to marry Shravani... but try and understand his point of view... it is impossible for a person to want to keep a relationship with a woman after so much wrong has been done.. if you were in Manav's shoes, and your family tortured in this way wud you have liked Archana to come back to your house... wud your wounds heal in one sorry?? Plus the disrespect and injustice to Archana part do not get to me at all??? What injustice?? Is he doing it intentionally?? He is not divorcing Archu to get married to Shravani... he is getting married to Shravani cos he is getting divorced. For him this relationship broke the day his people were tortured in jail... he made this statement in jail. At that time Shravani was nowhere in the picture.. Everyone is blaming him for not being happy when Archu refused divorce... if I was in his place even I wudn't have been happy... wud have said after all that has happened what is left in this relationship that you want to save.

If tmorrow he decides to marry Shravani despite getting to know the truths about Archu and her genuine love for him then of course we can say he is doing injustice, etc. etc.

Agree with nikitagmc! even if the other person is gud, even if u love them, sometimes u have to do this (what manav is doing) he had known archana for a few months and they had a relation of 1-2 months. i can totally understand manav as i broke a relation of 4+ years too(i was not married) because of family problems and my parents were getting insulted.they bent down so much but no use. when u get married, u r not staying with one person only. its a relation which brings together two families, not just two people. and you cannot just forget about ur family. sometimes love is not enough to survive.

My wounds would never heal. I would always hurt after something like that. But maybe would listen to my spouse's defense (if I blamed him for the experience). Afterall, he knows the truth about Ajit, so it wouldn't be a stretch that his sister is lying. At the very least I would ask him. If I called and he wasn't there....then I would accept that is not his fault. People arent psychic. They dont know you need them. They have to be told sometimes.

Going to her house and twisting her arm. Not standing up for her. And making promises to Shravani. For him the relationship is over. For her it isnt, nor was it ever. Not even when she thought he had cheated on her. She seperated herself from him, she didn't abandon him. To me that is a form of injustice and disrespect.

He is not divorcing Archu to get married to Shravani... he is getting married to Shravani cos he is getting divorced. I don't understand the semantics of this statement. What is that even supposed to mean? He made the decisions almost simultaneously. So to me, they are both one in the same. If the engagement/proposal came after the divorce then that would be something else. But he IS NOT divorsed.

WHICH had nothing to do with Archu. He would know this if he had a little faith, and self-esteem. The man is wayyy to insecure in his relationship. He to this day has not worked up the courage or will to prove that Ajit was the mastermind. Correct me if has,...I may be wrong..lol

And another thing, I know hes been through ALOT. I would just like to say that, It is how one responds to adversity, pain, and hurdles that defines them as a human being. And he does not respond well. People accuse him of wrongdoings, he runs and cries. His brother dies, he runs and blames all the wrong people. He marks them guilty without so much as a "mental trial". Always taking the easy way out, thats our Manav. He couldln't take Archu back, because that would involve alot of confrontation, self-reflection, and self-growth. He can't adopt Shravani's baby because hes too busy taking the easy way out to even know that option exists.

Hes just a weak character. Too me, this whole Shravani-Sachin fiasco, has just plainly illustrated that for me.

Don't get me wrong. I just put in my argurments in...lol⭐️

Logically I understand what you're saying. I even agree...to an extent . Yes he did exerience pain. But I don't understand how his character could take such a drastic turn. Its just Sooooo hard not to be angry. THis show was supposed to be REALISTIC. An average Joe's show for us regular middle-class people. But its turned into this bizarre little freak-show.

Its actually harder to stay away from the person u love so much. its not easy. yes, it takes courage to stand up and fight for ur love.its even harder to love someone and they love u back but u cant b with them. it takes more courage to say no to ur love and live without them for the rest of ur life.

I think manav crying was very realistic. he is suffereing.he is a man so what he cant cry?

When he was in jail he truly believed that Archana hates him and his family . He has been given enough proofs that this has never been the case. Varsha , someone he trusts and likes hs also told hm and he acknowledged the fact that maybe Archana did not make the complain but so what ....

Archana fell at his feet crying and is going out of her way to do what he says .

I was so mad at Manav when he let Shravani take the mangalsutar. I mean what is the point of showing such a weak person , I mean he could not even say, not now I will give this to you on the wedding , leave it on the table please.

And then quietly replace it with another one .I totally hated him then .Then of course his screaming in the court room......

But one dialogue from Archana made me change my mind . She says that she is going back because he needs her and he doesn't eve know it that how much he needs her .

He is breaking inside , bit by bit , his brain has just stopped working now . Tragedies after tragedies , his mother's non stop venom spitting , his dad's disappointments ofhim , the divorce ..it's all getting to him .

He thinks that marriage to Shravani and saving the baby will somewhere make him feel less guilty and perhaps make his family , mainly his mother happy .

The person he needs most is the person he wants to get rid of , in his thoughts, in his life .

Give him time , give her time . Give them time ......she will take care of him , that is why she is going back .

After the initial hateful reaction he will start thinking a little more straight .Let us see then how he starts acting .

But for now he needs Archana and she is in his home , even if out still she is there for him .

Ofcourse he can cry....damn, my brother crys just watching this show. And hes a built like a linebacker..lol

I'm just saying, that when hard times come around, thats when you prove yourself.

I also agree that love isn't everything. It isnt enough. You also need courage, strength, and a lot of committment. Marraige is about these things also. Not just love.

Now that makes sense to me. But damn it all, I'm still angry. To me its lookst like Manav doesn't love her anymore. He doesn't feel the need to fight. Thats just so heartbreaking.

Lets hope what you say happens. If he still wants to marry Shravani after he knows all ....well then, ...

to them committment and marriage and PAVITRA RISHTA mean different things. They have grown apart.

trust me manav still loves archu.every1 was hating manav sumtime ago den dey showed the spirit thing nd every1 calmed down.manav will breakdown 1 day.i m sure he loves her.he is trying to convince himself nd her dat he doesnt love her by showing dis anger.
