Thank u Bantoo.I agree with u 100%.We've misused the technology, not made 2 our favour but gave it to them who have the money 2 make their albums. It's really down the line our own mistake.😊

very nice post rubyji. amongst the current singers in SRGMP only nihira and hema have that in them to compete in a SRGM of the old format.

yes singers with melodious voice and abundant talent like bela, mohd. vakil, hrishkesh, prajakta joshi etc are sorely missed.

i feel to a certain extent even improvement in technology is a reason for this, an average singer today can be made to sound good by manipulations to the track with various gadgets and gizmos. so music directors dont really need a good singer, an average singer will do. so maybe they just take singers based on personal equations and favors.

in the end music suffers. so we have a sonu kakkar singing babuji zara dheere chalo and becoming a star overnite. and a bela and mohd. vakil fading away into oblivion.

sad very sad.

It's really very sad that SAREGAMAPA is converted into a drama rather than a singing competition, too many jhagdas and all that.We r only thinking and praising the contestants now, just hear the old saregama songs and u'll not regret, again u'll not miss Rafi, lata,Asha, and Hemant kumar. They r so good that they have wholly maintained that tempo & u can't tell that Mohd Wakil was best or Parthiv or Mukund.Again u cannot tell whether Bela was the best or Sanjeevani or Sudeshna. It was even more tough competition then.Choosing among them was even more difficult than now,and all the renowned and experiences judges still gave us the best one,but we India cannot decide the right one,the best ones went away, shame on the people &also Saregamapa because they've made this system.

Eveyone is thinking that whether Nihira will succeed or not?whether Vinit will do it?Hemachandra-oh he's in MUKTA ARTS now,but no one thought even once that why we r not listening Sanjeevani songs anymore? Why none of them got a chance, even when they were and also r better than all of them now?

Oho- perhaps they didn't show latkas & jhatkas. They r gems and Mohd Wakil is still singing one Qawali song in Main hoon na,where even we don't hear which one is he?

Don't u think, they all deserved even better than all?

Plz give views........😒

nahi sir

truth is that we have only hand ful of composers who can deliver goods today, let an aira gaira singer sing albela sajan aayo & I'll see which gadget can make it sureela, the true reason behind this degradation is poor & onky ponky -hip hop songs churned each day by HR & alikes like chakki ka atta, bring a difficult raag based song.......fir dekte hai kitne log ga pate hai.......
