I think normally it is the girls who are like friends to the mum and keep them company.

Depending on the family size, sons generally do not have the emotion or the patience to listen to the parents so much.

There are exceptions and no hard and fast rules.

Everytime I ask my collegue "how is your daughter" he gets upset as daughter is quite rebellious.😆
