So sad to read about a mother looking for her daughter so desparately.

I think in this world the love of a mother and child is the greatest.

She is crying out for help

Woman from China spends her days scouring Singapore for missing daughter

By Leonard Lim

THE only trace of makeup on her forlorn face is some hastily drawn black eyeliner.

Madam Zhang Xiangyun's eyes are surrounded by dark rings, a result of sleeping an average of three hours a day over the past few weeks.

Nearly every night, she said, her rest has been interrupted by dreams of her missing daughter Han Yanfei crying out for help from a distance.

Madam Zhang, 49, has very little appetite these days. She has eaten mostly vegetables since she arrived here from China on Dec 29.

The Liaoning native's walk is slow and mechanical from fatigue. But clinging to the barest slivers of hope, she is steadfast in her quest to find Ms Han.

The 28-year-old hostess at Song KTV lounge in Telok Ayer Street has not been seen since Nov 8. She used to have webcam chats with her mother almost daily and did not fly home on Nov 27 as planned.

this is a very interesting article summerji, but i won't be surprised if a mother is worried about her children. what should be an issue is if a mother or a father abandon their children without any significant reason. like for example, a father abandons their children just because he doesn't care even though he is totally capable of supporting them.

Often a father may disagree with the wife and move out but he never stops loving the children. There are exceptions of course.
I think a man who deserts a woman for no good reason will never be happy in his life.

Good thing yu said that Summer ... remember recently jetty bhai opened a topic about Australia where I commented on some of our Desi Pigs abroad?

I know a few of these Desi pigs who abandoned their girlfriends and wives often even after having a child with them. Or, unknown to the trusting wife/girlfriend....coming to India and marrying the poor sanskaari women.

Arre yeh pagal insaan log har jaga hotein hain. Never happy?...I feel they should be burned in hell.

Khud to behaya hain hi....doosre acche honhaar Indian youth's ka naam mitti me milakar rakkha hai!

Aur inke Adarsh Ke Premi Parents (who, knowing thier rascal children, send them to India to marry and stop their daughters from getting married to a good-natured intelligent and much sanskaari man from the country they live in) ko subha shaam joote se marna chahiye.

Just my POV!

Ah Pravda you are right there is nothing worse than leaving a child without both its parents. It has severe psychological effect on the child and also it is very difficult on the poor mum to raise kids on her own, work and also educate the kids. Maha Paap as most desi women are very tolerant.
Quite a few of our managers go to China to work and end up having new wives too. Several of the China ladies do not mind being 2nd or 3rd wives, many of them just want a better life overseas.

It is not about the Chinese ladies if they mind or dont mind ... this is disgusting. If they marry a Chinese, its their duty to respect her and give her proper love!

Do you actually think its acceptable?.... 🤢

By the way my name is Kashif.

a very touching topic.... I wish her best of luck. Mothers always are more sentimental in general, because they are more emotional in nature and so, they show more affection towards their children more than fathers, mentally and emotionally(of course, there are expections). I feel that sons are more attracted towards their mothers and fathers more attracted towards their daughters, and vice versa because of their genders.

wow that is really sad. Things like this make me really emotional. I can't imagine what a mom must feel like knowing her daughter is in danger.
Thanks for sharing.
