First of all, let me mention here that I am a Hema fan, and I strongly believe Hema/Nihira/Himani should have been the top 3.
A lot of people have mentioned that Vinit is a Sonu-clone. That is right. But isnt Debu also a Kishore-Sanu-Abhijeet clone? How many times have we seen Debu go besura in recent galas. For eg., while singing "Aye Zindagi Gale lagaale", Debu clearly lost his voice midway. Vineet, on the other hand, hardly makes mistakes. He is extremely consistent with his sur, and can never be blamed for being besura. His only drawback is that his voice is still not very mature.
But what alarms me is that the voting pattern is completely independent of the gala performance. Debu fans vote for him even if he messes up big time. Likewise with the Vineet fans. Because we have polarized ourselves as "Vineet Fans", "Debu fans" etc, instead of being "Music fans".
I also notice Nihira fans calling Himani a sore loser, and other names. That is apalling, considering Himani has been such a wonderful singer. If Nihira is Lataji, Himani is Ashaji. They both have their own USPs, and comparing them is not fair for either. They are both great singers in their own right.
I know that the best singers are already out of C2005, but I am sincerely hoping that we, as the voting public, show better judgment atleast in Challenge 2006, and cast out votes for music, rather than non-issues like region, family problems, emotional situations, hype and hoopla.
