U left out the part:

Vijay saradhi, the first mapillai who got the letter about Suma and parents stopped the alliance, meets Suma...

He explains that he doesn't beleive that and he convinced her parents too.. But still he just asks her whether she has enemies... Suma opens that she herself wrote that...
