I find this whole Dharma was ignored thing interesting. I liked WUS, but I don't think Kurbaan deserves any nominations apart from one for Kareena. As much as I like VO he has been thoroughly outclassed by people like Amole Gupte, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Kay Kay Menon and most importantly Abhimanyu Singh. Dharma isn't exactly a dark horse here - they've got their fair share of unfair awards - forget nominating, but awarding Kuch Kuch Hota Hai over Satya for crying out loud?

Even though I am disappointed by some of the picks its still not as bad as the fate Satya had. Even KJo says that RGV should have won for Satya that year. And seeing that Dev D, Gulaal, Firaaq and even Sankat City managed to pick up a few nods makes me happy. Yes its not a perfect list - but then I never expected that.

i think dev d, gulaal, firaaq and sankat city need to be given recognition because they were great films and yh i agree satya was a classic and kay kay menon is amazing i agree with u

Exactly, Satya is a classic. How I wish RGV could go back to those films. It also introduced Anurag Kashyap to bollywood. Screen atleast gave Manoj Bajpai the award for best supporting actor. Filmfare gave it to Salman! That was just absurd.

And I seriously doubt Gulaal or Firaaq will get any recognition at Filmfare so I am happy atleast Screen didn't ignore them.

salman didnt really have a big role in kuch kuch hota hai whereas manoj had a bigger role for satya i dont understand how he didnt win it
