Merry Christmas dear Eva. May Christ's blessings be with you and your family. We had an enjoyable day today, with my kids opening their presents etc. And am just about to go to bed. Hope your day is equally wonderful. Let's count our blessings and give thanks to the Lord this day.

The True Meaning of Christmas:

Jesus' birthday - Christmas is about God's love. It is about God's love for you and me. It is God expressing His great love for mankind, through the giving of the greatest gift, the Lord Jesus Christ. He loves us not because of what we are, but He loves us because of what He knows we can become, if we'll allow Him to get involved in our lives.

Romans 8:1-3:

1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

3 For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh,

This is the purpose of Jesus' coming to this world. His purpose was to come and take away our sins. As being in flesh, we cannot fully justify ourselves and cannot come in the right standing with holy and righteous God. Jesus came to bare upon himself the wrath of God and to pay the full penalty of our sins that all of us should have right standing with God.. Jesus Christ came to do this awesome deed for us.

That's the true meaning of Christmas that Jesus the best gift of God comingto do what the flesh could not do and that is to bring us back into fellowship and communion with the Heavenly Father. Living in Adamic sin the holy life we could not live, Jesus lived that life for usthe holy life required by the law andby his death and resurrection he imputed that life in all who believes on him so that in Him we are holy and blameless in the sight of God.

Eva dear, re-read how you have interpretted #2 and #3. This is the basic "problem" in christian theology. #2 is in line with Krishna- for the law of "spirit of life in Christ/ Krishna" has made me free from the (law of sin) and Death. Living in Adamic "sin"- if this was true, there should be a "decrease" of Christian population in the world, not INCREASE, which all evangelical xians want. No, it is tragic that the life of Christ has been reduced to a pathetic marketing stunt by evangalical xians. Like the Bible beautifully says "Living IN Christ", is what Christmas is about. May the world live IN Christ, IN Krishna and KNOW that the flesh (the material world) is but temporary unlike the Spirit that is! Merry Christmas.

Thank you Blokes for your comments
Merry Christmas to you too..

When I said living in Adamic sin.. by that I meant the life before Christ.. the life before you know him personally.

So once you understand the life of Christ than your spirit is reborn in Christ and you have the life of Christ in you.

I believe by the grace of God upon you, you get the desire in your heart to know the truth and the spirit of God quickens your spirit and you know the truth about the life of Christ..

Unless the spirit of God lets you know the truth.. you cannot learn about God. Each one has there own encounter and I have mine. That's all

Thanks
Eva

I had a great time with my family as mine is a very mixed family ... members of my family are Christians, Hindus, Jewish, Muslims, Canadian Irish, Dutch and Italian ..... it is amazing how we folks celebrate all religious festivals together..... I have to tell you it was so wonderful to attend the candle light service on Christmas Eve and singing Silent Night Holy Night while raising the candles high .... the atmosphere was so hypnotizing that the color of Christmas will take time to come off ..... it is such a great feeling to know that we can relate to everyone on this forum and share our religious as well as personal thoughts and feelings ....
