Manav needs more shirts

So I've been observing Manav for awhile now and I noticed that he only wears like 5 different shirts.

1.) Yellow and blue check shirts: In garage or at home.. hasn't worn it for a number of days now.. earlier he used to wear it VERY frequently.

2.) Maroon/blue shirt with stripes: Whenever he was with Archu or at her home (in front of in-laws or with Varsha) or in the court

3.) Black/dark purple shirt of a good texture : On some good occasion like when he went to Archu's home the first time when sulochana invited him...(tarun tells him to wear a new shirt and go) or when he took Archu out the first time..!! Looks smashing in it..!!

4.) Red check shirts : In local trains etc. wonder why ... he doesn't wear it any more though

5.) Blue T-shirt with grey track pants: Manav's night dress

What I don't understand is how the production house can spend 2.5crores on the wedding yet fail to get a couple more shirts for the lead character. I know he's suppose to be from a simple background, with very little money but the there is no way he can only have 4 or 5 shirts.
I will admit it is annoying,when in serials the families are so well off that they show the actresses in different sarees and jewelery every other day. This, however, is the other extreme, the lead character has handful of clothes. Why can't they ever show anything normal?
You can call me anal, or that i spend to much time watching TV, but when you air a show 5 days a week, people are bound to notice all these things. DUH!

Any thoughts?

You're right kshre.. Manav has a limited no. of shirts and he recycles them only... in fact earlier there was a pattern of his shirts as well..!!!

6.) different kurtas: for special occasions like poojas or weddings.

7.) white pajama kurta with a little embroidery: sathyanarayan puja and suhag raat

8.) brown silk kurta: in the temple/ during navratri

i kind of liked it when they showed him wearing the same shirts.. for one it brought in the simplicity of the show... and also the fact that Manav spent almost all his money on his family.. there was a scene when Manav brings gifts for everyone but nothing for himself.. that is why I was taken aback when he dressed up like a prince for the wedding.. they showed both extremes only.. at one point he doesn't have clothes.. at one point he is dressing so lavishly.. i agree with you, there needs to be some balance in between.

I like him in the blue stripped shirt....he looks really cute...nice to see a lead character frm a humble background...all the other shows r filled wid obnoxciously rich people who change their clothes in every scene....atleast here its diff.(more practical)..also Manv's character is shown to be simple n someone's who's not bothered abt looks.

LOL Manav need style change no need for strip shirt he can wear plain ones too.. Shushant can carry it off with no prob at all but still he is made to look poor for quite a while.. I hope they give him better clothes to wear.. But i dont mind these shirts as long as they just show him..:p

nikitagmc: Thanks for helping out with the list. At first I too was kinda impressed that they would let the character repeat his clothes and I agree that it totally showed how selfless and simple Manav is. I also noticed that his Indian clothes are never repeated and always lavish.
However at the same time, even someone as simple as him has more than just 5 shirts. I'm kinda tired of seeing him in the same stuff. A tiny bit more variety would be nice.
If I had an address I'd be willing to send a shirt or two, since the production house doesn't seem to want to spend any money haha 😉

I agree with you kshre... the rest of his family members don't repeat their clothes so much... was remembering a scene in the initial episodes when he is at the mall with tarun.. he likes a shirt but then sees it costs Rs.1450, Tarun asks him if he likes it but he says no... later Tarun gifts it to him.. it was a nice shirt, white with vertical red lines... surprisingly he never wore it...

I like Tarun, he is one person who knows Manav really well and really tries make him happy in small or big ways... they shud develop his character a little more.

In itially as you all even I was impressed with that they are repeating his clothes.But now its too much. They must change his shirts now.Give some different colors and patterns to him please.😆
