I remember the blue/white and yellow/black plaid shirts the most, because when I used to actually watch the show (I had to stop watching when school started again in late August) he wore those shirts at the highest frequency. I also remember his "nice" shirt quite well, the dark purple one from his very first date with Archana. The striped ones seem inconsistent though, I think they just hand him random ones sometimes. I think the white/red striped shirt may have been taken by Sachu chor, because a) he used to take Manav's shirts in the show anyways (as noted by both Manav and Archana) and b) it seems that the costume department switches their shirts around often (especially the random striped ones) because they probably wear the same size and also don't have distinct wardrobes on the show.
I think it makes sense that he has such few shirts, as someone else said, he always bought his family stuff before himself and he never really cared for his appearance anyways because nobody ever paid attention to him. Although I think they should try switching it around a bit (maybe give him some solid colors instead of stripes and plaid), I think that Sushant looks good in whatever they give him. The whole simplicity of the shirt and low-slung slightly baggy jeans really fits the character of Manav. Maybe if ArMan were still together they would have shown Archana getting Manav some more shirts.
I also noticed (well I'm not sure if it happens anymore), but Varsha used to repeat outfits a lot, especially the v-neck one with the diagonal stripe embroidery. But atleast that was realistic. Archana too has repeated a lot of her sarees, but none of them seem to wear the exact same stuff each week like Manav does.
I think it might be because, like I said earlier, Manav isn't really bothered with his appearance. He tried a little harder with the kurtas and shaving (something else I think he needs to do more frequently 😆) when Archana was around, but when she left he went back to his old ways.
