I hated Prashant's mother..are mothers really like this?I noticed she didn't welcome her in the house until Prateeksha told her she had the cheque...As you said,Shashank isn't that scary that she is forced to give her entire savings to an idiot...😆Also I have thought about this many times that do mother's really tell their daughters at the age of 7 or 8 that they have to get married as in the case of Prateeksha???😕I think Prateeksha's decision was quite dumb and she should really go and take her money back from those greedy people.......😉😆

While I'm sure everyone enjoyed the PraSha confession scene in today's epi.....Prateeksha's decision to pay the 7 lakhs to that loser Prashant was something I found to be beyond ridiculous.
Up till this point, I'd thought of Prateeksha as this very sensible, mature girl.....but this decision of hers has tossed that out of the window.....and what mahaan logic....Jai ho, creatives😆......so let me get this straight....to stop Shashank from doing a 'bura kaam' i.e. wanting to be with Prateeksha, she is going to go ahead and freaking give her ENTIRE life savings to that loser Prashant JUST to MARRY him???😕😕😕.....From what angle does ANY of this make sense?? She can CLEARLY see that they are just a bunch of greedy ppl trying to get as much money out of her as they can and yet she's willing to do whatever they ask her to JUST to get MARRIED?? Aisi kya desperation hai, bhai?? Ok so it's her Mom's 'sapnaa' and all....great....but would her Mom's sapna EVER be that she marries a guy who refuses to marry her unless she pays him MONEY??? Ridiculous! They are just showing her to be stupid for no reason now.....Shashank isn't THAT scary that JUST to ward him off, she'll lutaao her entire life savings and marry the biggest loser on the planet, is he?😕😆😆
OH MY WORD. I can rant and rant and rant about how stupid that action of hers was, and certainly after that particular scene, I do not find her to be rational and practical in anyway. Also she must quit listening to that inner voice of hers because clearly it's giving her out preposterous advices, such as marrying a gold digger just to keep Shashank out of her way.
Also why in the world is she making Shashank sound like an 'evil', 'disastrous' and God forbid a rapist type of being, excuse my language there. All he had done was make a one sided confession, and as you said, he could care less about Sumo or any other hurdle because he doesn't want to live a lie. He's not planning to run a harem with many wives, with one being Prateeksha. Seriously though, he never came across as a playa to me.
Next, I don't have any hope from Ekta, but I really did think that this time around after a series of flop shows, she'd instill a bit of realism in circumstances. Why on Earth would Prateeksha marry a broke, gold digger, cheap human being when there are several ways out? Honestly, before this, I always reasoned her actions out because she was determined to hunt down her siblings, but then just to get rid of Shashank from her life, she lets that determination slide away so simply. Hello lady, there are millions of more options to get rid of Shashank such as run away from the city; join the orphanage (the one scheme that Arain's father made); marry another man; refuse Shashank...yadda yadda yadda, but no, it has to be the most peculiar way out.
Also, I can almost challenge that there's not a single middle class hardworking girl who wouldn't want to marry a rich man with status, because in the real world today, all want to climb up the social ladder. But here, the female version of Devdas is agreeing to marry a man with no respect, no money, no personality, no future despite of knowing the truth...such are the ways of TV soaps.
Phew...with all that said, I still watch this show. Time pass ke liye theek thaak hai. 😆
