I was so tempted to just log off without making a post. But a few things are pricking me like thorns...so I have to say them...
First of all, I may sound biased or like a crazy ArBi fan, but that's ok na? We all have our judgements clouded by our likes and dislikes. It's natural. But I would like to think that I am slightly smart enough to try and give an argument with valid reasons.
Well, I know that this show is called "Bhaskar Bharti" and like two sides of a coin, we have Rags and Eijaz playing their parts. It was good to see Eijaz back and he did a very good job in his final scenes. I liked how he was very controlled in the senti scenes. So I applaud him for that. However, can we please not forget that Ragini Khanna was the main protagonist and Khan Sahib had a guest appearance. I would have liked to have seen more of Rags in the finale. And let me tell you one thing:
The final scene between Aamir and Ragini was shot seperately. All you have to do is look closely. I am 100% certain that the girl they showed from Aamir's angle was NOT Ragini. I hope I'm making sense here. What I mean is that the two actors must have shot the scene at seperate times.
So I feel cheated as a fan cuz I adore Aamir and Rags and to think that their last scene together wasn't even between them...that just kills it for me.
And come one ppl!! That wasn't the Bharti that Armaan had come to love. That was something else. So all those memories and all those moments go up in smoke. That's it. So what if there's another girl that looks like Bharti? Omkaar's wife looked like Bharti. But they weren't the same ppl, were they? You cannot fall in love with a face. It's the person within that matters. I would have liked to have seen Armaan get his Bharti, the one he has spent so many precious moments with. They went through such a complex yet beautiful journey together. You cannot forget such moments...it takes even more than a lifetime to do so...
So Payal and Bhaskar get a good ending, Bharti and Armaan's ending was seriously crushed. How funny, ArBi track was perhaps the trump card of the show and yet the writers didn't even bother giving them a proper end. Bravo creatives 👏 you suck BIG TIME. And so many loopholes. Shouldn't we at least know what was to happen between Armaan and the duplicate? They should have given us some sort of indication. Now we're left in complete confusion.
Yes, I am a bitter fan and I'm not ashamed to admit it. But I've become so emotionally attached with this show and with Bharti and Armaan's ajeeb lekin dil ke bahut kareeb, prem kahani. And to be given such a third class ending makes me feel so crap inside. And I really believe that writers should really think abt the end before it is executed. You need to give an ending that will leave fans with a smile and not hurt their sentiments.
I know that BB has been a different show and had a larger than life theme. However, that does not mean that the writers subject us to an absurd and nonsical ending. And the ending was very much absurd. I guess it is how you perceive it. If you are joyous to see Bhaskar back and together with Payal, then it's a good ending. But if you wanted Bharti's identity to remain and her to be a part of Armaan's life, well then the ending was terrible and in shambles.
Oh God, there's so much that I want to say but I'm a bit confused right now. Sorry if I sound bitter, cuz that's how I feel. I am a bit of an emotional fool and should probably just shut up and put up with the ending. Can't change anything now. But I am annoyed, I really am. My main grievance is that in the end, love did NOT succeed. Bharti and Armaan's love story was the backbone of the show. Look what they have done to it...
When I think abt ArBi moments, Hariharan's ghazal comes to mind:
