It's time to wake up people!

I don't know how many of you like/dislike Bush and I don't care about it, but this time he's doing something serious about your education. He has proposed a federal budget that would slash federal funding for adult literacy and GED program by 64%. It is estimated that 50,000 adult students could lose literacy classes in NY State. In other words, there might be no GED or adult learning programs next year. You may not be affected by this, but think about your friend, or an older member of your neighborhood or your cousin who just migrated from your native country. They need a GED to get into college and prepare for a better future.

Guys this is serious. Please Join the call for adequate funding for adult literacy programs in New York City.
