Designer for Shilpa, Tarun Tahiliani takes the high ground

Author and socialite Shobhaa De let the world know on Twitter just how much she hated the bride of the year's choice of wedding attire.



After looking at snapshots of Shilpa's reception with the bride in her gold saree, she tweeted: "What on earth was Shilpa wearing at her reception? That gown! The bouffant! Shudder, shudder. Whatever happened to good taste and some style?" Designer Tarun Tahiliani who designed Shilpa's ruby-and-Swarovski-crystal-encrusted saree for the wedding and the gold saree in question sounds unfazed. He says, "I never comment on other people's sense of style. I really don't think a designer should comment on another's work (De has designed a line of sarees).

She (De) has only seen the photos. She should have seen it in person. Shilpa knew she looked beautiful and that's all that matters. I don't care what others have to say."
