I am from NorthEastern India. However, I have always voted for Hemachandra.
The fact that Debojit received such a large percentage of votes from the NE doesn't imply that everyone from there is sitting voting singularly for him.
The fact is, there have been some sites that attempted to garner multiple votes through software trickery. Due to the recent uproar over the voting "injustices" these sites have been quickly and quietly pulled off the net, or have hidden away more securely.
It would not surprise me in the least if the same has occurred on a smaller scale for some of the other contestants. The public voting system is an open invitation for some form or cheating to transpire.
My advice, if you are severely dissatisfied with the voting trends, do your best to vote as much as you can for the participant you feel merits winning the most (merit, as in deserves on basis of his singing). There are too many people out there, with many a tricks up their sleeves, for us to accomplish anything by posting a few threads about it.
This is not to say that I don't find it infuriating and frustrating that such things are occuring, but since there is nothing I can do about it, I, instead, choose to vote for the person I continue to believe has the best abilities.
I appologize if I have upset or offended anybody. I was, however, a bit disgruntled to continuously read that "all of NE" is voting for Debojit, while knowing this was not true.
