Why Karthik needs a girl of his calibre?

The essence of the story is "Palkon Ki Chaaon Mein" means here is a guy who loves his brother and a girl to the core. They represent two eyes of this guy. He makes sure that he protects them as his own eyes. This is Karthik. The true love is not just being together but it is making sure that your lover is happy even if it demands sacrifices from you. This is what Karthik has done. He gave his lover what makes his lover happy - giving Karan to her. He gave his brother which makes his life happy - giving Suman to him. He is not just stopping at that but he continues to protect them as eye lids protect the eyes.

This is the theme of the story. So Karthik definitely needs a girl who can understand this sacrifice and his true love. Whether this girl is Suman or some one else doesn't matter. Whoever comes into Karthik's life she needs to overcome this desire of Karthik in order to have his love.

I still think that Suman's ultimate destination is Karthik and Karthik's ultimate destination is Suman. There is nothing wrong in Suman loving Karan. She is happy with that. But sticking to story theme she will discover her lost love in Karthik. Meanwhile, Karthik will also under go one more cycle of "Liking" someone else and continues to protect his true love and his loving brother.
