Police should visit every victim of crime in England and Wales no matter how minor the offence, the home secretary has said. Is this the best use of police time?😕

Alan Johnson made the call as he launched an advertising campaign outlining what is expected of the police.

The campaign focuses on the "Policing Pledge" which sets out what officers promise to do in their community, and was devised to help improve the public's trust in the criminal justice system. 😕

The Home Office also wants police forces and councils to use websites to name key local convicted criminals. 😊

Should all victims of crime, whatever the offence, receive a visit from the police? Do you think naming and shaming convicted criminals is a good way to tackle crime? What do you expect from the police? 😛

P.S [
Of course the police should visit the victims of crime just to see what they didn't have time to go to when called. We do honestly need more legal policemen and women on the streets, and do away with this phoney community representation that have no powers whatsoever. Also, the idea of naming and so called shaming the people who commit the crimes is yet another feeble way which New Labour have created. BRING BACK THE BIRCH.]😊
