Dumped by Ranbir, Deepika finds solace in family

Deepika Padukone is headed to the US for some time out with family after having worked continuously for three years. She will be going there to attend a close cousin's wedding and to spend some time with her relatives.

According to sources, this break was much needed after her recent break-up with Ranbir Kapoor. She hasn't taken a break since she started working on Om Shanti Om back in 2006.

She then worked on Bachna Ae Haseeno and Chandni Chowk To China and then Love Aaj Kal and was kept busy with endorsements and other projects. She is currently working on Karthik Calling Karthik and Housefull. So, Deepika didn't let go of the chance as soon as she found out about it.

Deepika will spend about 10 days in the US attending her cousin's wedding and hopes the trip will rejuvenate her. The news was confirmed by Deepika herself, who added that it is very important to make time for family even if one's life is busy.

I think Deepika is the only high profile gf Ranbir will ever have. Media always makes the woman sound like a bechari. WTF?!

^^ I totally disagree.. Ranbir can definately hook up with other high profile girls... and Deepika also.. Well all the single high profile people will be out there to snach these two.. Hehe.. Both of them are a good catch..

I disagree too. Which other young, single, high profile actress with a slew of high-profile modeling projects behind her and 3 out of 4 hits to her name exists in bollywood. Also, add:presently single to the list. Let's face it, Deepika was the best Ranbir could do.

Well she was dumped by Ranbz acc to our Silly media.. so she would do a devdas at the wedding..LOL Seriously our media is such BS.. they don't have any proof.. no pictures.. no real sources no nothing.. what they have is chinese whisper kinda stupid gossip which they print as "news" give me a break.. and learn something from the international paparazzi.. who provide solid evidence like pictures and real sources to back their stories up.. Such stories with no evidence.. which are published in bolly have no creditbilty and I think viewers are stupid to believe them..

Well I am no match maker so I don't know.. but high profile does not only cover Bollywood.. it covers.. rich industerlists daughters... chicks whose dadys have all the moolah.. maybe a politician's daughter.. there is plenty of fish in the pond.. if you look around.. India is one of the countrys in the world with maximum number of millionaires.. and they are pretty high profile.. and more so than our bollywood actresses.. so I guess Ranbz can hook up with them.

Sure, he could but Ranbir is an actor. Would dating those daughters of rich industrialists carry the same hype/publicity/endorsement deals as would dating a high profile actress? Priety dated Ness for a long time, it did not increase her market value in any way. Same goes for Imran-Avantika. I bet if Imran-Sonam hooked up, Imran's status would suddenly increase through hype and publicity.

Two actors hooking up benefits both in many ways. I mean just look at Abhisekh-Aishwarya gettting 25(?) crore to endorse a freaking soap. Its unbelievable! 😆

Noooooo LOL.. When he was with Deepika he got nothing but flops in his kitty.. lol.. And as soon as their break up rumors began.. his movie's revenue soared.. it could be a coincidence but it did happen.. I don't think you have to hook up with an actress to make it big..Specially young actors should fly solo.. cauz it gives them flexibilty and freedom to make their choices.. and helps in their overall appeal.. As far as marriage is concerned.. I don't think marrying a rich industralist's daughter who can fund your movies and stuff should be bad.. half of the Kapoors are married to industralists.. they seem happy.. LOL
