Indian Moms are the WORST breed! They shd take lessons from American Moms here who devote their lives for their children, support them thru divorces, hardships....babysit for them, give up their jobs to look after their daughter's kids....theyre amazing! What real mothers shd be like!
I look at them and wish I had a mother like that! 😭

American Moms are Of course Very different from Indian Maas......
American Moms DO NOT TOLERATE Husbands' torture to ensure that her children Do not grow up with Divorced Parents/Broken family.... American Moms. DO NOT COOK spending hourrrrrrrrs ruining their beauty to feed fresh food to their kids..Indian maas Do😲..! American Moms DO NOT Save money for their children but Spend that at Spas n Salons... on the contrary forget indian moms visiting Nail Salons they do n't evewn want to 'WASTE' the money for getting their eyebrows threaded, they keep that money for NEW Clothes for the kids to be worn on the Festivals instead..........American Moms go for botox treatment not even thinkinf if her kids have money for college..... American Moms Look for Boyfriends when they should be searching for boys for their daughters 😆do you reeeeeeeeeeeeally wish you HAD a MOM like this..?????????????😕

While ManjuJi might be somewhat wrong in trying to get Simmi married to almost whoever she finds , her character is VERYYYYYYYYYYY REAL............. being RUDE doesn't mean she's casual..... that's they Way indian Maas behave😲 but Indian Maas Always mean the Best for their children!! Remember- I LOVE YOU HONEY Doesn't mean those mothers Really Love their kids more..ALL THAT GLITTERS IS NOT GOLD PALLAVI..😲

ManjuJi genuinely concerned(A bit overconcerned though!) about her children's futures and she gets hypertensed thinking about them all the time and that's proof enoughhhhhhhh that SHE LOVES ALL HER CHILDREN..

Obviously the American Moms YOU have seen or come across are totally different from the ones I see and meet every day....namely MIDDLE CLASS AMERICAN MOMS!
They are working Moms and stay at home Moms....working moms who work 8 hrs a day, pick up their kids, shop for grocery, pay the bills, do laundry, work like automatons all week!
Stay at home Moms who take their kids to school, run errands, take them to soccer practice, swim lessons, karate, all kinds of activities.
Yes, many of them are single parents, not because they love to divorce and get new Boyfriends or lovers....but in 80% cases, their husbands cheat on them, leave them AND the kids!

Before coming here, I had the same idea abt American Moms as u had.....my point is not whether they visit salons, Indian Moms do that too....they go to salons, parlors, get masseurs at home. Some of them are more pampered than even rich ladies here.

POINT IS....AMERICAN PARENTS LET THEIR KIDS FIND THEIR OWN FUTURE, THEIR OWN HAPPINESS! Which is how it should be!
They dont force their will on their kids and dictate every move! But they DO support and help out their kids at the most crucial points in their lives! Thats what a parent must do!

As for Manju, I dont know how u can still defend her! Maybe becuz u havent been on the receiving end of such treatment!

I regret now sharing my experiences with people like you! You would never understand or empathize with what girls like Simi have to undergo when their mothers are crazy like Manju to get them married. Ive seen it first hand and from up close and personal!

Like I said, I AM A MOTHER , and I would never do that to my daughter! In fact I used to blindly support and listen to my mother till I myself became a mother. It was then I realized how wrong she had been!

i completely empathise with what u went thru..believe me..bt making a blanket statement tht Indian mothers are the worst breed is not warranted for..even i dont think there is ne justification for the behaviour of manjuji or ne mother to behave like tht..bt there are millions of mothers in India who deal with lot worse situations than their Western counterparts and still take care of their children like gems..my parents are also from a backward state bt they have never ever made me feel inadequate either coz of the fact tht am a girl or my avg looks..only thing tht matter to them are my manners..my mother is my best friend in all respects and am proud of tht..and i know lots of people who believe the same..am not saying tht these mothers are perfect..bt then who is?neither Indian moms nor American moms are all of the same kind..there are all kinds of people in the world and we cant label them as one kind based on particular individuals..jagah choti ya badi nahi hoti, soch hoti hai..
plz dnt take offence ny the post..no intention to hurt nebody's feelings..

Thanks for understanding! I agree with you, the world is made of good and bad and grey shades and I should not have generalized! Let me rephrase it....SUCH INDIAN MOMS ARE THE WORST BREED!

But tell me one thing, why do they only show such devilish mothers in Indian serials?
Today I was watching Ladies Special where the boy's Mom does this whole suicide drama and emotionally blackmails her hapless son to ditch his newly married young bride and marry the girl of HER choice!

And what abt Archana's Mom in Pavitra Rishta who has done more damage to her daughter's life than anything....instead of ensuring her happiness, shes given her only grief and tears so far?

I guess such shows deal with the real picture, how Indian Mothers use their POWER over their kids to ruin their lives and satisfy their warped egos. Its this whole attitude: " I gave birth to u so I have the right to make or break you, to dictate and govern your every action and thought!"

You are immensely lucky to be blessed with such supportive parents and a loving mother.
Believe me, my mom was a friend to us too, she shared her troubles and problems with us when we were growing up. As a result I felt great sympathy for her and like Simi, as the oldest daughter, I listened to her every wish, suppported her blindly. Then she became crazy for my marriage and got me married in a joint family, in a broken down old house..... that I wouldnt wish my enemy's daughter to be wedded in. My luck was good so I escaped after 7 years from that house.... but those 7 yrs were complete hell for me where not only my life but my newborn baby's life was in danger from falling roof, fire hazards and poisonous bugs. My mother just sat back and watched the fun and did nothing to help me, she didnt even show much reaction when one day the roof broke down close to my 4 month old child's head. That was when I was certain she didnt care for me or my daughter. But I had realized that before..... when she didnt come to meet me the day I had my first child....because it was a daughter and she wanted a grandson since she herself had 3 daughters!

The list of her wrongs is never ending. The reason Im sharing all this is because I feel a strange affinity with Simi's character and empathize with her for having such a horrible mother!

jokes apart,i understand u went thru a lot..i cnt imagine living like tht..and i hope ur happy now in ur life..and am sure u will make sure ur daughter never goes thru the trauma u went thru..think of tht..take care..
