I am also not happy with the events in the previous week. Mainly I am not happy with Vidya's character taking a U turn and someone as strong as Vidya shown depressed for years. But I am grateful for the other aspects of the leap and I will give the show a chance for like a month before concluding that the show has truly gone to hell. As of now I second Mahika's thoughts.

I don't care for Vidya's 180 either, but there is more to this show than just Vidya. Remember this show is first and foremost about Antara, and I think we are going to see a lot more than just Vidya's anger. We're also going to see Antara and Abhi's bond, which is probably stronger than ever, not to mention Billu's mischief 😊 Also interested to see how Sam-Arti's daughter fits into the equation. Perhaps she has a role to play as well. So let's not make judgments and instead see what happens.

Some of the events that have taken place recently have been a bit silly, but it's nothing compared to the usual garbage on TV. This show is full of complex characters who usually have good intentions but bad judgment. Other shows portray people as being totally good or totally evil, which is ridiculous. I'm glad there are no vamps or any saas-bahu rubbish on this show. Believe me, it could be SO much worse than it is right now!

well said rainabow. If anyone watches Indian shows regularly will know that this is actually nothing. I know lots of people will say that this show was supposed to be very different from the rest. I agree...but lets not forget the circumstances under which the makers are working. The show is on a Hindi GEC which is doing well for itself. There is constant pressure to deliver on the TRP front in every slot as competition is ready to pounce every moment. No other channel will even dare to touch the suject which is urban based and deals with an issue which isnt much in the news. We must appreciate Zee for their guts since if not for it the show wouldnt be airing at all. And boy I am glad its airing. There is no history of mental illness in my family and the show is an eye opener to me. I never really got a chance to interact with such people either. Now if I see a mentally ill person I am automatically sympathetic to him/her and his/her immediate family member.
Indians love melodrama(few of us here are exceptions rather than the rule). Just look at all the melodramatic shows ruling the roost. I dont think melodrama will go away completely from Indian TV for the next 20 years atleast. This is prolly the best they could do to balance commercial aspect and the realistic aspect. Afterall no one(not even us) would want the TRPs fall to such an aspect that the show and its cause would cease to be a talking point. Lets assume that the recent pre leap twists are like the poison Shivji had to drink for a greater cause of saving the world. The twists were like the same poison which had to be there for the show to have enough drama to interest a larger number of viewers. Vidya is an important aspect of the show but not the main or only aspect. So lets give them a chance.
