yes i agree the show is downright depressing and i gave up on it a few weeks ago
The show was so good before...the channel dont even come in the UK but i still watched it online coz it was so good and fresh but now its just as bad as any saas-bahu show
hope it some how manages to find its old charm agen

Yes priya, even i feel irritated when they keep showing anandi crying and behaving like a 5-6 yr old kid.
However ur updates were superb and thanks a lot for all the wonderful updates that u have provided us. 🤗

@Priya: Hi Priya! Nice to meet you :D One good thing abt American TV are comedies. I can watch ELR and Friends repeats n number of times. Watching BV even once now makes me cringe!

@Aditi: Till now I was following atleast Priya's updates. But now I plan not to follow even the updates. So I am not sure how much I will be able to contribute. But I do love this forum. So I'll definitely be peeping in.

@jjairam: Very good points. Points 1 to 3 I agree especially point 3. I feel this lack of development of characters has most severely affected Gehna and Basant. Their characters and relationship is stuck to where it was last January.
Regarding point 4 I feel their ideas of showing effects of pre-gauna relationships as well as widow remarriage were not entirely bad. But the sequence of events could have been better and more logical. The pregnancy issue should have come out first. Then perhaps Suguna should have realized she needs to buck up for her baby and tried to study sitting at home with Anandi and Jagya's help. Then perhaps we could have had Shyam's entry. We could have had Shyam gradually falling for Suguna rather than this love at first sight which happenned. I felt it weird that in a country where even city men who are widowers/divorcees hesitate to marry a woman who has been married once or has children the carefree and playful Shyam accepts Suguna without batting an eyelid.
Regarding Point 5 again I agree...I want to add they should have shown Shyam gradually accepting Suguna's situation and proposing marriage to her. Maybe seeing her grit and determination. Shyam's mom's acceptance of Suguna was still digestable as it looked as if the lady realized that she cant live without her son and to have her son back home she needs to whole heartedly accept Suguna with her flaws. But Maasa's character has really suffered in the last few months. Earlier her character was grey and she had a few redeeming qualities. But Mahavir Singh track has painted her character black.
Point 6...again you are right. Not only we are probably losing a good actress but I am worried now for Avika's eyes too. There have been reports of other actresses who constantly cry onscreen suffering damage in their eyes. It happenned to Akshara, Sadhna and Radhika of CB. And Avika is still a kiddo. Btw I feel after Smriti Irani and Ronit Roy, Avika is the true TV superstar. Smriti Irani has become obnoxious over the years. I hope Avika handles fame better. But given that she is still a child I dont have much hope.
And yes I agree with you line 'Honestly, I think that the serial will continue as is because there is no pressure to change. The only difference is that I think a lot less highly of the people who are responsible for this serial.' Perfectly said!
