what happened to Manas??

hi.... this is my first post on this thread......... I used to watch astitva a year ago, when the leap hadn't taken place yet. But now, i've read the updates, some latest videos and the last episode update.

but what i coudn't figure out was... where did Manas disappear in the entire act? ... i thought that the writers had killed him off... until i read somewhere that he was abroad.... but why did he go there? ..... did he divorce urmila? ... as they always had differences...... was he shown after the leap or not? ....... did he eventually fall in love with Simran?....... as Simran's dad always wanted them to get married............ Manas was an important character when the serial first started out.... i liked the way Harsh potrayed the character so realistically.... and i also thought that he looked good with simran...... but now that the story's track's changed, ...... his character seems ignored and stranded now.........

how did this transition happen..... and could somebody enlighten me of Manas's disappearence?

Okay I will try to answer your questions:
Manas went abroad because he fell in love with Riya Sen, the lawyer who fought Urmila's case when she killed Dr. Ashwin with whom she had a fling. Riya had an illegitimate child Chhavi who was at school in the US and was a drug addict. When Riya came to know of this she decided to go to the US to be with her daughter. Manas and Sid (Sonu) followed. He DID NOT divorce Urmila.
Another reason Manas went with Riya was because he had a major fight with Simran regarding Riya, with Simran telling him he ought to think about Urmila and end his fling with Riya. Manas taunted her saying that she didn't have any right to give him advise since she herself was the "Other Woman" in Abhi and Neha's life. This incensed Simran and brought their friendship to an end.
After the leap they just showed Sid. He had completed medicine in the US and had come to work with Simran. He had always hated his father for unceremoniously dumping his mom so he never spoke of Manas again. After Urmila was found, Sid, who had been staying alone, now started living with his mom, to whom he had always been more attached. Thus Manas' character virtually ended after the leap. They never even showed Manas calling up to enquire about his son.
Manas and Simran never fell in love. They shared a very platonic relationship. After Dr. Abhimanyu Joshi had dumped Simran, her father did approach Manas with a proposal. But both Manas and Simran had a good laugh about it.

hey wt happened to that article when they said that manas will come to bless sid n ashtha during their marriage?.....did they change that?

Very well put in a nutsehell!! I was rather sad that Manas's character was distorted like that..!
