Great idea Connie.............I think in SaReGaMa there used to be a round where participants had to sing in some language other than their mother tongue and hindi.

yea i remember that one they all sang in punjabi...it was mad funny though....it was all screwed up punjabi...haha i couldnt stop laughing...especially hema...he wasnt even saying half the words LOL!!!

After Hindi, it has to be Punjabi because Punjabi songs are prevelant in Bollywood too, unlike Tamil, Bengali, Telugu etc, which are restricted to their respective regions.
As long as the contestants sing in the language of music (which, unfortunately, some of them dont), I don't mind even if they even sing in Chinese.

i speak in Telugu, but i listen to various other language music, as its the melody i am after.. So won't mind if they got to sing in Telugu,punjabi, Tamil, Oriya,bengali or hindi, as long as they r melodious....👏👏

I dont think they should sing in other language other than Hindi, for the simple reason, it will be unfair to some as it will turn into a regional voting.
