As we all saw, today allowed all of us to breath a sigh. A HUGE SIGH of relief.
Ok, as a track, its not innovative, your most trusted right hand man is your enemy, and we all know Ekta has this addiction to look alike's and all that garbage.
However, to me, the most annoying factor of any BT drama is the men. The male leads are always so gosh darn stupid. They turn into these submissive afterthoughts as opposed to a leading male. They fade into the background after a strong start, they start to drag.
DM, however, is a breath of fresh air. He is a break from Ekta's usual mold, in a way, and the story doesn't revolve around Santu entirely like past productions have (meaning the Female lead was the center-point), and today, DM's lighting of Subhi's dia and placing the mala back on indicated to us the audience that he is not oblivious to the fact that Subhi is indeed a fake. Which is something way ahead of past Ekta productions. Aside from the bloopers and what not, the meat of the story has not been washed away with, and I mean, we all know drama's like these need to be elongated somehow, and for us, we don't care how they are elongated just as long as we know that our lead couple will not be marred.
About him not telling Santu, I am actually happy, I feel that Santu will act differently, around her, which will spike suspicion among everyone, if she goes around with her sad face people will know it is because of Subhi, but letting her know might altar DM's plan. Its ok, a bitter part leads to a sweet ending.
So I ask you ladies....are we speaking to soon if we decide to praise Ekta for her ability to give DM a sound brain? Or should we hold our praise until this track comes to an end?
In all honesty, I think she deserves a round of applause for allowing the male protagonist to have the ropes to the story now. It will be very interesting to watch it unfold.
