I am going to try and answer your question but I am not so sure (anybody can correct me if I am wrong). Ekta and SP split ways since all Ekta's shows on SP were not giving the ratings to SP. But I think the channel realized that they should only promote few shows and get 6 or higher ratings and so they won't have to spend too much money on promoting other shows and clearly you can see that is exactly what is happening. Now about kis desh, there is new speculation by me, ekta got 8;30pm slot on colors channel and so she needed kis desh to move to a different time on star plus since the contract with star plus says that Ekta can not launch another show on another channel at the 8:30 time slot. So STar plus got the perfect opportunity to move kis desh to afternoon slot and not on other prime time slot since Star plus was only looking to take out Ekta. Now Star plus is putting a new show at 8:30 because they know that ekta can not put a new show at that slot since she has a show on colors. but looks like zee is again going to take 8:30 slot in its ratings since they are also launching a new show. so I hope it makes sense. at the end of this, we fans and ofcourse the cast and crew of kis desh suffered. at the end, no more star plus and balaji telefilms for me.
