Saiyaara Male lead is overrated!!!
This is a shot, I was VERY excited to write, even though I kinda messed it up š I'm gonna be writing another one soon! š Cus I've got a more fun idea! š Enjoy! š Oh and girls (you know who you are) keep the teasing to a minimum! š
Three minimized windows were turning bright orange and Ravjot grinned as she clicked on the one with most of her friends.
She quickly read through the first three sentences and grinned. Thankfully none of them could see her.
All she could see were winking emoticons and blushy signs. Without another word she pressed 'brb' and minimized the window again and clicked on one of the other open windows.
She sighed before leaning her elbows on the laptop. She wanted to reply to what he said last but now her heart was racing and her friends were teasing and even though she didn't want to admit it she was having a mini meltdown.
Did you mean it?
She still couldn't believe he was finally asking her like this even though she had already dreamt this moment before. She did mean what she said, but now that she said she was tempted to say it was a joke but then she remembered his birthday and those last few emails they had exchanged.
Well all our emails were..
She pressed enter and froze, waiting to see what he'd say.
They were kinda misleading?
She frowned. Definitely not what she expected to read.
Sorry, gtg bye.
With that she 'appeared offline' and re-read their entire conversation.
He had started sounding distant when she had mentioned his parents coming over to her house earlier that day. Could something have happened?
Without a second thought she found the one person on msn she'd find out everything from.
His younger sister, Geet, their friendship had developed when they were younger and now they always chatted on msn about everything and anything. Well except for the fact that Ravjot liked Geet's older brother.
Although from recent talks it seemed almost as if Geet already knew.
Hey
Ravjot! What's up?
Midterms š
Ah yeah same here....it's like kill me now!
Ravjot grinned. Now all she had to do was sneak him into the conversation.
I know right? It's horrible. How's Sati dealing with it? Holed up in his room?
š Shockingly not, he's been hanging out in the family room a lot lately. I think he's trying to eavesdrop on mom and dads' conversations.
Oh? Why's that?
They've been talking about some interesting things lately.
Like? š Don't leave me hanging.
I'm not š But you should just ask him next time you guys meet.
We're not meeting anytime soon...
š Yes you are! Tomorrow's the annual charity walkāyou always come and so does he. Talk then. Anyways I should get studying. TTYLš
Bye!
Ravjot continued staring at the laptop screen and jumped when she felt something soft against her leg. Looking down she saw Tommy all cuddled up near her foot.
He always knew when she felt weird and didn't know what could make her feel better. It was always him.
She moved her laptop away from her lap and bent down to pick him up, laughing as he licked her chin.
Now all she could do was wait for tomorrow.

"Ravjot!!" She heard her name and turned to see Geet smiling as she walked towards her with Sati following closely behind.
"Hey," He greeted her quietly and she smiled back in response.
"Ooohh It's Mani and Sheen! I'll see you guys later!" Geet rushed off to meet her friends with Sati calling after her.
"Is your cell with you?!"
Geet turned back and patted her pocket. "See ya!"
Ravjot grinned and turned back to see Sati shaking his head. "What's with you?"
"Nothing," He shrugged and started walking down the path.
"You look sullen." Ravjot sighed. "And after all the times I've burdened you with my problems the least thing you can do is tell me what's wrong. I promise not to judge and besides my friends say I'm pretty good at listening."
"You don't stop do you?" Sati tilted his head to face her.
"Stop what?" she frowned.
"Never mind," He smiled before turning his attention to the walkway.
"Sati!" Ravjot frowned and put her hand on his shoulder to stop him. "That's mean."
"Oh but signing off on msn during an important conversation isn't?"
She bit her lip and smiled. "Sorryābut I had to go."
Sati shrugged. "I wanted to finish our conversation,"
"Finish it now?"
Sati looked down at her smiling face and without another thought he took her head. "Come with me,"
Ravjot's eyes went wide as she let Sati lead her to the lake. They both sat down on a bench and stared at the calming water.
"So..." Ravjot started at the same time Sati spoke. "Do you..."
They both grinned and then Ravjot smiled. "Go ahead.
"No go ahead,"
"Satiājust say what you wanted to."
"Fine," He took a deep breath and took her hand that was resting on the bench. "I lied."
"You what?"
What was with him and shocking her every time she got excited? It was like he knew. She gritted her teeth and turned to face him.
"I lied last night."
This was getting interesting, she decided as she nodded. "Go on."
"When you mentioned the emails and I said they were misleading; I lied." Sati took a deep breath. "I did mean every word I said and I hope you did too?"
Ravjot bit the inside of her cheek to keep from laughing. "Why'd you lie?"
"Why couldn't you just tell me the truth?" Sati asked.
"What truth?" Ravjot shrugged. "I haven't lied about anything."
"No, but you withheld the truth," Sati smirked.
Ravjot's mouth fell open. "What do you mean?"
"You know very well what I mean." He smiled. "Something you've told me twice beforeābut one more time wouldn't hurt."
Ravjot shook her head. "I'm not saying it again only to find out you played some prank on me."
"No prank,"
"I should believe you because?" Ravjot shook her head. "Forget it."
"You should believe me because you love me."
Before she even had a chance to process the new information, she was preoccupied with the electrifying sensation sizzling through her body as Sati lowered his lips to touch hers.
They broke apart moments later and he shuffled closer to her. "That could've happened a lot more if you had told me the truth."
Her face flamed with red and she looked down at her feet. "I didn't know what you'd think. I didn't wanna risk the friendship."
"Well we didn't risk anything. Just got more out of it," He leaned his forehead down to hers and smiled.
They both sat on that bench for awhile longer and watched the sun disappear when they could see the lake end knowing that even despite all the misunderstandings and numerous denials; fate had a way to bring them together once and for all.
Yes the ending kinda sucks, (but I don't do endings very well š³) Anyways I already know Ravs is like this : āŗļø But I wanna know everyone elses' reaction as well! š Thanks guys! š
