A source said, "Surekhaji's husband passed away on Tuesday night at his residence. She sent a message to the production house that she won't be reporting on the sets due to the personal tragedy. When we learnt about his death, we all decided to go and visit Surekhaji.

But she sent a message that no one needs to be present at the funeral and she will resume work on Monday. Everyone found it rather strange, but they respected her decision and her privacy. It must be a difficult time for her and no one from the channel or the production house has visited her. They all sent their condolences."
