Written Update - October 15, 2009
Araina greets her parents at the airport. She refuses to go home with her parents in their car, and insists that she will "fly" home. Araina gets a lift from a motorcycler. Seeing Araina's huge house, the motorcycler tries to hit on Araina and gives her his card. A servant/kaka greets Araina. Seeing that she didn't bring the kaka anything from London, Araina rips up the motorcycler's card and gives it to her kaka. The kaka laughs, and Araina goes inside.
Araina's parents arrive home shortly after, and tell Araina that they are throwing a party to celebrate Araina's entry back home. Some of Araina's relatives try to greet Araina, but Araina ignores them and runs upstairs to meet her grandmother. Araina's mother tells the relatives not to feel bad, as Araina misses her grandmother dearly.
Araina sneaks up on her grandmother, and the two converse. Dadi (Araina's grandmother} gives Araina a book as a welcome-back-present. Araina is disappointed, as she wanted something like clothes or jewellery. Dadi tells Araina that all Dadi's give their grandchildren those things, but books and blessing from elders is what people need to be successful in life. Araina hugs her grandmother, and goes to her room to pick out something to wear for the party.
At Araina's room, Araina's mother scolds Araina, and tells her to accept the gifts from her caretakers (not relatives, sorry.). Araina refuses at first, but Araina's mother convinces her to go and say hello to her caretakers.
Araina greets her caretakers, and apologizes for not greeting them earlier. Araina's caretakers give her their gifts, and Araina leaves. Araina goes back to her room, and asks her mom if she's happy now. Araina's mom smiles, and nods yes. Araina closes her bedroom door, and her parents look at each other with tensed expressions.
Araina talks on her cell phone, to Suhaani, who is supposedly in Mumbai for a friend's engagement. Suhaani stands behind Araina, and tells her that she is at home. Araina doesn't notice Suhaani is behind her, and continues to complain to Suhaani. Suhaani sneaks up on Araina, and the two hug. Suhaani asks Araina how she's looking, and points out her hairstyle is different. Araina goes along with it, and Suhaani tells Araina that Shashank(?) is behind her. Araina gets confused, and turns around. Araina looks dreamily at Shashank (Vivan Bhatena). They walk up to each other, and look into each other's eyes. Araina and Shashank have a long eye-locking scene, and smile at each other.
