October 05, 2009, (Sawf News) - Ayesha Takia saw a preview of her upcoming film Paathshala which also stars Shahid Kapur, Suniel Shetty and Nana Patekar.

Moved by the screening the Dor star tweeted:

hey ppl i saw paathshaala last nite and totally lovd it!!!its surely a story that needs to b told!brought tears to my eyes

just rememberin the s[h]oot!!! it was such fun ya!! miss it!!

its sad wen a fun film gets over and one has to move on!!

The film is about student-teacher relationship. "It's a highly emotional subject, I can confidently state that it's the most lavish children's film made in India" said director Ahmed Khan.

Shahid Kapoor plays an English and Music teacher who comes into the lives of a group of young, troubled students. Nana Patekar plays the Principal, and Ayesha Takia is a teacher who looks into the extra curricular activities. Mehnaaz plays a school kid who falls in love with her teacher.

Takia is riding the wave of success with her recently released hit film Wanted with co-star Salman Khan.

^ This is one movie that I'm looking forward to watch, and I'm unsure as to how different it will be from other movies, yet I like the simplicity of it. Not much hype around it either, which is an added bonus. When does it release?

No idea about the release date but probably soon since they've had a screening for Ayesha already. One reason it looks good is cuz Ahmed is not directing it.🥳Shahid has like a 30 minute role, which isnt bad. I just hope its a sensible movie. Anybody know of the director, Millind Ukey? Hes a National Award winning Marathi director.

P.S- GG, I love your avi!

I'm clueless on his Marathi movies.

More info:

Milind Ukey a talented director who assisted Sanjay Leela Bhansali, a winner of many state awards for his Marathi film DEVAKI, and the man who actually brought to life a rejected project which happens to be India's 1st Animation film HANUMAN, thought of making this film on co-operative basis. They collected shares from all their Spandan members and gave the film a reality.

Milind has been an Associate Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali on two of his reputed projects 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' and 'Khamoshi – The Musical'. His Marathi feature film 'Devaki' has won 27 awards including Best Director and Best Film.

I might check out 'Devaki'.

This Devaki sounds pretty good. You know Marathi?
