Aviation -ca: As you wanted, Radhika made embirodery on the Rumaal (handkerchief) to give as gift to Dev............She had written his name (Dev in hindi) and had a bansuri (flute) on the handkerchief..............
I was little surprised that she made handkerchief...............when you had posted this initially, I was thinking handkerchief would be a good gift.......but then immediately I realized that she would not give it..........because it is usually said, that if you give handkerchief as gift, you will end up fighting with the person, whom you gifted the handkerchief.....................
Is this what they are trying to show that she gives it as gift and both end up in hurt? Or is it sheer coincidence?
Does anyone else on the forum know about this gifting of handkerchief ending up in fight belief?? Please share...................

Aljuna: Handkerchief is still cute, even in the days of tissues...........Also it is the thought that counts more than the gift itself...........

Great point Anu

Dev wanted to see his name on her hands. If there is no wedding, this is the closest he will get to seeing his name
It is a beautiful gift made by her hands

I guarantee that when she breaks up and runs away crying this will fall from her and he will pick it up. It will be the gift he carries as proof of her love

So Sad!

I think ultimately Radhika's gift might become a gift for Dev as a clue to this problem. She might drop it at VB house and Dev will find it which can be the only option right now...so it might be gift for him..

I don't think creatives meant anything symbolic here...actaully I really don't think they have the ability to think at that high level. I still it's a coincidence that handkerchief can be used as a tissue or napkin to wipe tears and maybe that's the reason Radhika made it for him subconscioulsy...Dev is about to shed a lot of tears, he'll need it and so will we.

Yes Anu, I also heard from people that when someone gift a hanker chief it means a fight might happen between the two. Its an old supersticious saying.

When I saw the precap, I was thinking that she might not get the chance to give it to him since her dearest mom in law will tell her to back off from the wedding. I like JP's idea... when she cries and runs away it should fall on the ground... Dev should pick it up... and start thinking why a girl who loves me so much wouldnt want to marry me after all that has happened. Dev sweetheart, we really need you to start thinking hard and analyze Radhika's decision.

Anu I have not heard before that giving a Handkercheif as a gift to someone means you will end up fighting with that person...

Is it because he will use it to wipe his tears ??! I am just trying to understand the logic.. if there is any behind such beliefs

Maybe I will ask my nanasa 😛
