Kuwajerwla was born and raised in<FONT size=2>Gujarat</FONT>,<FONT size=2>India</FONT>to Sakina Kuwajewala. His father passed away when he was 12 years old, from a long illness. Kuwajerwala has claimed that because of his father's death he doesn't have a very memorable childhood.<SUP class=reference id=cite_ref-Hussain_Kuwajerwala_0-0><FONT size=2>[1]</FONT></SUP>He is the youngest of three children. His brother, Qaeed Kuwajewala, is a director and his sister, Nafisa, resides in the United States.<SUP class=reference id=cite_ref-Hussain_Kuwajerwala_0-1><FONT size=2>[1]</FONT></SUP>Kuwajerwala attended Naderia High School in Mumbia and received his BSc degree from<FONT size=2>Jai Hind College</FONT>in Mumbai. During his high school years Kuwajerwala has said that he had no desire to become an actor and preferred to stay out the public eye. Rather he kept close with his family who also attended the same school as he did. After appearing in a few college theater productions Kuwajerwala became more open to options in the media.

After several several modeling campaigns and commercials Kuwajerwala landed a role in the long running Indian soap<FONT size=2>Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi</FONT>. Although Kuwajerwala played a supporting role, he was recognized and noticed and then offered the lead male role in Bag Telefilms soap<FONT size=2>Kumkum (TV series)</FONT>, which has been his longest-running and most successful soap to date. Along side acting Kuwajerwala as also anchored several successful shows like<FONT size=2>Shabaash India</FONT>,<FONT size=2>Kisme Kitna Hai Dum</FONT>,<FONT size=2>Kuch Kar Dikhana Hai</FONT>and Khullja Sim Sim (second season),<FONT size=2>Indian Idol 3</FONT>,<FONT size=2>Nach Baliye 3</FONT>and<FONT size=2>Indian Idol 4</FONT>. He also participated and won the reality show<FONT size=2>Nach Baliye 2</FONT>, along with his wife Tina Darira. Kuwajerwala has done advertisements for Close Up, Leher Kurkure, Perk,<FONT size=2>Gillette</FONT>, Priya Gold, Rexona, RMD Pan Masala, United Cookers, Seylon Tea, Harpic and Supreme Detergent. In early 2009 he signed to his debut Bollywood filmed called But Adi Loves Sanjana Yaar, but the project has been delayed due production problems.

Kuwajerwala married his college sweetheart<FONT size=2>Tina Darira</FONT>on December 21, 2005, which was also the same date that they first met.<SUP class=reference id=cite_ref-RIYA_A_ANANDWALA_1-0><FONT size=2>[2]</FONT></SUP>Their courtship lasted nine years before marrying.<SUP class=reference id=cite_ref-CHITRA_PAPNA_2-0><FONT size=2>[3]</FONT></SUP>Although Kuwajerwala is<FONT size=2>Muslim</FONT>and Tina is a<FONT size=2>Hindu</FONT>they married in a civil ceremony. He is also very close to his nephews Ali and Mazhar.
