I agree with what Nandita said, but her reasons for saying such a thing should've been backed up by her......I didn't like the fact that she became all defensive and backtracked on what she said as soon as ppl started disagreeing with her, or asked her to elaborate on what she meant......Her excuse of missing her mom didn't cut it, IMHO.
At the time, a clip was shown wherein all the MILs were either resting, or loitering around, or ordering the girls to cook stuff for an event that was to take place later on....this was happening while the girls were working their asses off to impress the MILs....a REAL mother doesn't just sit back or complain about the food that her daughter has made her.....The MILs should've have overseen their cooking and tried to help them out as much as possible.....That is what a mother does.....Nandita could've cited that as a reason for thinking the way she does.
And, of course, it is beyond ridiculous to expect a girl to love someone they have just known and lived with for one week as much as someone they've known for their entire life........Perhaps over a period of time, a bond and a level of understanding can develop between the MIL and DIL, but I don't think it ever translates into the kind of love that a girl feels for her own mother or the kind of love that a mother feels for her own daughter.....
