This is a very good topic pagaal.

True, villains of the class of Ajit and Amjad Khan are not currently to be found.

But also consider that the overall theme of Bollywood movies has changed. We will never see another Zanjeer or Deewar where the traditional good guy versus bad guy dishum dishum happens.

And as the flavour has changed to more of social and love based themes, the good actors have concentrated on roles suitable for these movies.

We still DO have Paresh Rawal types though who can play villain and buffoon with equal dexterity.

Lets be realistic how many times are villians evil lunatics who want to rule the world or when is a person pure evil. Why should actors be classified as heroes or villians. They are actors and play characters, characters can be good, bad and many shades of grey. I think it is a positive thing that 'conventional villians' are dissapearing and we see more well etched characters.

i agree with return 2 hades...an actor simply plays the character and no1 shud b labeled as a specific type of actor...yes some r gud @ only a certain type of role but many can b gud and bad so they shd b given the opportunity 2 b both
