Mayank
Music is his passion, and getting a chance to work on a show that revolves around music excites this VJ.

Mayank Anand who hosts Cine Songs on Zee Muzic loves talking and striking up conversations. Here are ten things you would like to know about him.

When is your birthday and what is your star sign?
I was born on November 14; that makes me a Scorpio.

Do you believe in astrology and numerology?
No.

Where were you born and which school did you go to?
I was born in Kapurthala, Punjab, and went to Bishop Cotton School, Shimla.

What was your first job? And how much was your first paycheque?
My first job was hanging newspaapers on bamboo poles in my college library. I used to get $5.15 per hour. At the end of the month I got 40 dollars. I still have that cheque. Actually, my mom does. I gifted it to her. It was never encashed.

One thing you are really bad at doing?
Singing. But I still do it. Give me a Karaoke set and hear me bleat.

What is your favourite smell?
The smell of fresh rain in the hills (it smells different from the rain here, trust me).

Where in Mumbai would you rather be staying?
Bandra. All my friends live there.

What handset do you use?
Motorola RAZR V3.

What car do you use?
Honda City.

What has been your most embarrassing moment?
I remember an incident that happened when I was in school in Shimla. A few friends and I had bunked school because the girls' school nearby had an official outing. I was wearing one of those track pants with buttons down the side.

Suddenly two of my friends on either side of me bend down, rip open the sides of my pants (which, of course fall down). There I was, standing in the middle of the road, in all my glory, surrounded by about 10 giggling high school girls.

How often do you say, "I love you"?
Not often enough.
