Antara: Naomi Campbell of II2??

TI HE EVENTS of the last week have taken a toll on the Indian Idol contestants. With Sagar Savarkar being voted out of the show still fresh in mind, it's the girls' turn now to go through heart break as they prepare for the galas. With Jolly Das out of the first gala because of chicken pox, only five girls -Antara, Yashashree, Monali, Meenal and Neha will be performing tonight.

The strongest contenders to make it to the next round of the competition are Antara, Monali and Meenal. Small town girl, Antara who had a recent makeover has been nicknamed by all as the 'Naomi Campbell' of the show. She has received the judges' support throughout the show and is a probable 'Agla Idol'.

Pleasantly plump Monali has the voice of a nightingale. She believes she will make it to the international stage one day. "I'm preparing for the gala rounds with extensive riyaaz," she says. Meenal came from Indore to make a mark in the music industry. Neha has been out of the race for the last three weeks because of her bout of chicken pox. She missed a couple of photo shoots and the Idol album recording. Yashashree has made it so far in the Idol race purely because of the faith that the public has in her talent. With her makeover giving her a star appeal, the judges too feel that she could be the underdog who will spring a surprise.

Jolly will be directly elevated to the top nine contestants, because of her illness, like Aditi Paul last year. Though some feel that this could be an unfair advantage for her, others feel that she will be the weakest link, as she will miss out on weeks of practice and promo shoots. Only time will tell if the public will support her when she returns. Catch the action live on Sony at 8:30pm tonight.

Well, after her makeover, Antara does look quite hot. She has got great features

Antara looks nice after the make over, she has more self confidence which will help her. She has nice features, her transformation reminds me of how Aditi Paul was before the makeover with the salwar and the glasses and now Aditi is hot. 👏 👏 👏

I havent ever seen any tension in her face while she performs....She is performing & feeling that song...

her expressions also got a feel thats why audience so interacted to her even me too....

Also after makeover she is looking so hot & she carries herself very well...

I heard that Though MEenal sing well todaay she lacked performance liek SAGAR....Farha pointed that too....Meenal says she is very confident but i donno hw she lacks that while she performs...In her face there is tension too but while she is not performing she dont ahev any problem liek SAGAR....


Anyways Antara is teh best candidate who got teh caliber to get the title....

I think she looks like actress Maasoomi, maybe better.

She has come along way in the looks department. Probably the best make-over since Aditi Paul.
