She wipes away her tears, shakes herself and says, "Thik hai. I am not going to cry. If he doesn't care, I don't care. He needs to understand how important my friends are to me. He is getting engaged and of course I can be a little busy. Why oh why does he get angry so much?"

As she is thinking, Anjali and Riddhima enter the room. They see her sitting and staring in the mirror and start teasing her.

Anjali , " Today Dr. Modi is going to be floored Nikki!!"

Nikki blushes and says, "Anjie, don't start. Atul is going to be in the same boat."

Ridzi looks at both fondly and says," The guys have all met their match!!"

Both Anjie and Nikki smile and all three hug each other. Hand in hand all three walk out of the room as they are being called by everyone as the ceremonies are soon going to start.

Nikki and Anjie escort Ridzi to the podium where Armaan is waiting with Atul. After they make the couple comfortable and all three tease them to their hearts content, they leave them both with the photographer.

Nikki is busy helping in the work which is going on before the ceremonies start. Her eyes keep drifting to the entrance waiting for that one person. She looks at the clock and it's almost 6:00 pm and the ceremonies are about to start. She can't believe that Abhi has not come as yet. She sighs and turns to pick up the plate of sweets to place it at the table when someone pushes against her and jostles her. The dupatta of her lehnga falls and she hurriedly goes inside the nearest room to fix it.

She is looking in the mirror and fixing her dupatta when she feels someone lookin at her. She turns back and looks into the pair of eyes she has been searching for all evening. Abhi looks at Nikki all dressed up in

and it takes away his breath. He is so mesmerized by her beauty that he forgets that he was ever mad at her. He slowly walks close to her and keeps coming closer. Nikki's heart skips a beat and she takes a step back. He still doesn't stop and keeps advancing till Nikki's back hits the wall. Both keep staring into each other's eyes.

Nikki softly," A ..Abhi"

Abhi, " Hmm"

Nikki comes out of the eye lock and pushes him away and starts to leave. Abhi tries to stop her and accidentally the string of her choli becomes undone. Nikki stops dead in her tracks. Abhi comes behind her and ties the string. Purposely he brushes his hand against her back and Nikki shivers. She takes a deep breath and starts walking away from him when she hears a soft, "Happy Valentine's Day my love."

Nikki cannot take it anymore and turns back angrily at him.

Nikki, "Oh so you remembered. That is why I have been flooded with messages and my phone can't stop ringing."

Abhi, " Nikki ..I.."

Nikki, " Oh Please Abhimanyu, don't start now... telling me how busy you were."

Abhi, " Abhi"

Niki, " Dr. Modi please make a new excuse today. I am bored with your ..oh I am so busy with sanjeevani excuse". " I know you are mad at me but I don't care anymore."

Abhi closes the distance between them and says, " Abhi"

Nikki looks up angrily at him holding her tears in check and continues, " Dr. Abhimanyu, today is my friends engagement. Please don't spoil my mood. I am trying really hard to.... to..." and her tears spill inspite of herself.

Abhi comes closer and Nikki takes a few steps back and again hits the wall. Abhi places his hands on either side of her imprisoning her in the circle of his arms.

Abhi, " Trying really hard to what?"

Nikki looks up angrily, wiping away her tears, "Enjoy myself"

Abhi, " Why do you have to try so hard?"

Nikki, " Because he is my best friend and I want to be happy for him."

Abhi, " So what is stopping you?"

Nikki, " What?"

Abhi leans closer and softly speaks into her ear, "I asked, what is stopping you?"

Nikki forgets her anger and becomes aware of his closeness. She blushes furiously and tries to looks away.

Nikki, " Abhimanyu, please let me go."

Abhi, " Abhi"

Nikki, " Dr. Abhimanyu"

Abhi, " Abhi"

Nikki, " Abhimanyu"

Abhi, " Abhi" and starts bending towards her face.

Nikki softly, " A .. A.. Abhi"

Abhi, " Yes sweetheart"

Nikki , " Please let me go"

Abhi, " I am sorry. I can't"

Nikki, " Why not"

Abhi, " Two reasons"

Nikkii, " Huh"

Abhi , " First you look so beautiful that I don't want people staring at you. You know you are mine. Right"

Nikki blushes and nods her head.

Abhi, " Second, you have ignored me for the last three days and you know I hate to be ignored by you. But am not angry with you. "

Nikki, " Am sorry Abhi. I will make it up to you."

Abhi, "Oh sweetheart, you won't be able to do that."

Nikki, " Why?"

Abhi, " Because in a second you won't be able to speak" and he takes her in his arms and kisses her. After a while when they come out from each other's arms, Abhi mischievously asks her for his Valentine 's Day gift. Nikki looks at him shocked and then starts laughing.

Nikki, " Dr. Abhimanyu Modi you are crazy."

Abhi, " Yes my love , For you I am. For you I am."

Nikki, " We should go out now or we will miss the ceremonies."

Abhi tightens his arms around her possessively and coming closer again says, " They won't miss us. But I can't let you go away from me because I will miss you. Waise bhi, you have to prove how sorry you are!!"

Ooooh, Honey. That was gorgeous. Not much of a fan of Kareena, but damn, Shweta would look like something else in that dress 😍 I love the bonding between the girls, how Nikki innocently goes to fix her duppata, but it serves as a perfect situation for whatever ends up happening. The whole 'Abhimanyu, Dr. Modi. No, Abhi,' thing is love, especially the bit where they keep going back and forth with Nikki eventually yielding. Sweet.
