jules- do u even realize just whom u r strewing pearls before? if the creatives had even a tad bit of literary sense, they would have done many things differently. i doubt they even thought of the cut in your terms- i think it was just drama for drama's sake without extra depth in it. but now that u have said it, hey they just might incude it in their script

But now as u r mentioning it I have got another bad thought in my mind which has been from the time this Daksh twist started but nw has got stronger that maybe Daksh would ask Rads to marry him b'coz only our Dev babu has Dubharya Kundali and will nt be able to marry for the second time but our dear Rads kundali is plain so she can marry multiple number of times and again come back to our Dev Babu who will wait for her as he cannot re-marry

Coming down to the bangles, yes the bangles which Dev had gifted her holds lots of importance (even he stated that to her in the Ghaat as it was the first gift by him after she was angry with him) as this will set the scenario hw Rads would behave after Vish re-enters and she has already shown that she will gift it away easily as she washed her bangles and gave it to Amma without any protest when she mentioned that they were Visakha's ADHIKAARS..

Remember guys when that Ashram angle came around we were verrry afraid that the Janaki didi & Guruji looked sinister... so I think this is a red herring... wow today it is my day to be optimistic....

While it was wrong of Rads to promise something without asking for Dev's opinion (believe me, even today, I get in trouble for agreeing to a party without asking better half)... it will a positive rather than negative aspect...
