Hope you all have had a relaxing weekend and a fabulous Eid..................đ
Here is another oneshot that I have written, hope you all enjoy it.........................đ
This OS is based on a conversation I had with my friends a while back, about love. In the middle of the conversation I realised that I could base a oneshot on this.........*I know I'm obsessed right*...............
Anyways, hope you all like it................đł
"What are you reading?" A young husband entered his bedroom, smiling charmingly at his new wife.
"A book," She replied while watching him in admiration. He looked dashing with his shaggy hair, muscular form and his sparkling chocolate brown eyes.
"Well I can see that." He smirked playfully.
He sauntered over to their bed comically, but when she took absolutely no notice he began to get frustrated that a book could possibly steal the attention of his wife from him so entirely.
"What's it about?," he pouted.
"Love."
Prem sighs before he wraps an arm around her and kisses her on the forehead, "Why are you so distracted then?"
Finally she looked up from her book, smiling at him, "Jaan, can I ask you something and you promise to take it seriously."
He rested his broad shoulder against one of the posts at the foot of their bed and folded his muscled arms, "Sure." He indicated her to start.
Taking a breath, Heer asks, "What is Love to you?" Prem looks at her in surprise.
"What do you think love is?" Prem asks curiously.
"Well, to me Love is you feeling giddy at the site of your soul mate" Heer said.
Prem raises an eyebrow before he smiles and says, "That is not Love that is infatuation."
Heer smiles challengingly before saying, "Do you have a better explanation on what love is?"
Prem smirks handsomely then answers, "Love is a symbol of eternity. When you meet that special person you'll know because it'll just come from the heart".
"Are you thinking about when we first met?" Heer asks.
"Why, yes, I was," Prem, said sighing, "I can remember it like it was yesterday."
Flashback
"Come on Preet" An eleven year-old Prem, whined to his brother.
"Uff PB," replied a 7 year old Preet, "don't get your knickers in a bunch I'm coming."
"I do not have my Knick'"Prem began but stopped as he caught sight of a beautiful , hazel eyed girl walking toward them.
"PB...." Preet poked his brother, "Kya hogaya hai app ko?" Preet asks as he stares at his dazed brother.
Prem stared at a 11 year old Heer for quite some time and then sighed dreamily, "Some day, I'm going to marry that girl."
Preet stared at his brother bewildered.
"Eww, shaadi........ladki se, that's so gandhi," Preet says before running off leaving a dazed Prem behind.
End of Flashback
Prem and Heer laughed as they reminisced that memory, "You were a hopeless bloke weren't you?" Heer said playfully pushing Prem.
"Mmm...You know that's why you love me" Prem responded cheekily, whilst giving her that knee weakening smile.
"Speaking of love have you any other explanations'I sure do" Heer said, "Lets see.......Love is much like a wild rose, beautiful and calm,"
"Hmm....Love is a wildly misunderstood although highly desirable malfunction of the heart, which weakens the brain, causes eyes to sparkle, cheeks to glow, blood pressure to rise and the lips to pucker."
"Very descriptive' Love is an act of endless forgiveness"
"Mmm'Love is a flame that will always burn"
"That was actually sweet' Love is the condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own."
"Not bad yourself' We all want to fall in love. Why? Because that experience makes us feel completely alive. Where every sense is heightened, every emotion is magnified, our every reality is shattered, and we are flying high into the heavens. It may only last a moment, an hour, an afternoon. But that doesn't diminish its value. Because we are left with memories that we treasure for the rest of our lives."
"When have you become poet", replied Heer, " lets see... Love is an ocean of emotions entirely surrounded by expenses."
"You're the poet' Love is an irresistible desire to be irresistibly desired."
"Defiantly sounds like something that would come out of your mouth'Love is when your soul crawl out from its hiding place"
"Only a romantic person would ever say that' Love is a game that two can play and both win"
"That's kind of true' Love is what you've been through with somebody."
"Now that's true'Love is being stupid together," continued Prem.
"Are you calling me stupid because for your information I was top of each one of my classes' Love is as a friendship caught on fire. In the beginning a flame, very pretty, often hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering. As love grows older, our hearts mature and our love becomes as coals, deep-burning and unquenchable."
"That's deep' Love is the most important thing in the world, but Cricket is pretty good too."
"Typical' Love is the greatest refreshment in life."
"Yeah right' Love is missing someone whenever you're apart, but somehow feeling warm inside because you're close."
"That's the sweetest thing that I have ever heard you say' Love is not blind - it sees more, not less. But because it sees more, it is willing to see less."
"That was confusing' love is when you put someone on a pedestal, and they fall - but you are there to catch them"
"That was sweet too'Love is'" However, Prem interrupted Heer.
"Okay stop," Prem said smiling before he leaned into Heer.
"Bas ek aur' Love puts the fun in together, the sad in apart, and the joy in a heart" Heer whispered as she neared Prem . Prem chuckled before he added, "Love is'when you're near someone and you feel complete"
Then they closed the gap between them, both thinking the same thing 'Love is when I'm near you.'
For a moment neither said anything as they were locked in each other's intense yet passionate gaze, and then Prem sat up and scooted closer to his wife, "Well' it's all true you know," he whispered whilst gently stroking her cheek with his fingers.
"You think?"
"I know." He repeated in his deep and throaty voice which made her shiver, "And," he leaned in for a kiss, "I know I love you."
Heer leaned in as well but at the last second pulled away again, "Oh!"
"Kya hua?"
"She kicked." A grin spread across the mother-to-be's face, as she put her hand on her stomach, "There again! It's the first time she's ever kicked!"
"She what?" Prem jumped to his feet in joy, and then spun quickly around pointing at Heer, "Ah ha! you called it a she and not a he!."
Again, she rolled her eyes, but couldn't help but smile at his childlike enthusiasm. "Prem, give me your hand." She placed his hand against her swelled belly.
"Wow, that's my girl." Prem felt his child's foot press against his hand. He then leaned in, to kiss his wife, "Oh meri Heeriye, I love you so much."
But soon their kiss was interrupted, "Oh!"
Prem laughed out loud and leaned down to Heer's stomach kissing it, "Don't worry, baby girl, I love you as well."
