So there is definitely a leap,but the PH deferred it perhaps looking at the popularity of current set of kids. Also I second Prabhleen's view that the main protagonist of the show is its story,not as much as its actors or actresses.

I am happy that lead characters are still interested to play the parents of grown up kids.
