What a stupidity....

On my earlier request, you people guided me how to follow this serial. Thank you for that help. Especially those who has done written updates & put up those videos. I have some how managed to download more than 80 episodes of total 125.

I started from the episode where Kranti marries that Budha and mind you I really didn't like what followed next.Prior to that I read all written updates & loved this off beat topic. If you can recollect, entire December episodes were dedicated to petty family politics, usual Devrani –Jethani feud. It was really disheartening to see such a nice show being crouched down to generate viewer ship. It was especially painful because I was watching episodes back to back.

Here are my two cents of what I liked & didn't like about the show.

I know you people are Hardcore MRDians; still even you people would admit that the show had many lacuna.

Too much family politics: Just imagine what a turn off this show became due to this.How could a boy like me watch this one when I was forced to watch similar things almost 7/8 years ago.( Just imagine I have two elder sisters to guide my mom for what to watch)

Bloopers: Being set in early 1940's this serial really lacked reaserch.I think I can list at least one blooper per episode. I am still confused, whether the Family was Sikh or Hindu? From costumes & sets, it looked Punjabi Hindu, but again Kranti wore a pendent during entire run which symbolized she was sikh.Moreover she used to pray wahe guru when she was in trouble.

Unnecessary plot: What really happened to Sweety & Prince plot?Mamiji's activity against Sanjay looked very amateurish.

Lost Focus: The story should have revolved around love for each other & Love for country. But entire December & January episodes hardly showed any such things.Moreover the number of KK were too little for plans they execute.

Hasty ending: I know the reason for its hasty ending, but still it could have managed bit well.

Redundant dialogues: I noticed bcoz I watched them back to back, but can you recollect how many times.."Tabiyat kharap ho jayega" plot has been used. Chai ji for leg, BBR for pregnancy, Kranti for fasting for BBR, Rajveer for fasting for Kranti, Kullu for cardiac problem & many more…

But despite these, what made me to continue watch this show?

The answer is hope. I knew that show has ended, so it must have something good in between & at the end. Now things I really liked about the show.

RK Chemistry: Loved the pair with Hate, Love, Hate & finally love story. Althouh Jyada Hate aur kum Love.

Parallel Love story: Sanjay & Nirmal story was given less air, but I still liked it for its simplicity.

Certain Characters: I loved certain characters baring those two pairs which include Mamaji,Bua ji,Kullu & Chai ji.

Back ground & sets: Although full of anamolies, still loved their effort to present something new & different. It was never an easy task to arrange such costumes, extras, and vehicles. Kudos to the team for their effort.

Performance: Performances of pairs were amazing. But for the standout performance was of Prabhleen.For a change a strong woman character was shown. But later even they diluted her character & I read somewhere that even she herself was not happy the way the storyline was moving.Gavie was also excellent & looked natural. But I think his portrayal of emotional seen lacked punch although it improved gradually. Best part was that they both were Punjabi & the character they played was also of Punjabi. Rest of the actors did well, although their character was not something seen for the first time.

Then why such heading of the post?

It's because

*How could they ruin such a wonderful storyline & finally giving it a hasty ending. Stupid channel.

*How could I miss the buzz & activity you people had here during its peak? Stupid me.

though we are hard core pankhas 😳 of every thing related to MRD but at the same time we all r very truthful & understanding of each other's povs. 😊

For the strong points or what u like about the show, we all agreed and RK/GP chemistry is mind blowing ⭐️ 👏, such a perfect pair and they complement each other so well & the main thing both can act very well.

And I think all of us will again agree with u for ur last comments regarding stupid channel 😡 & ruining such a wonderful strong storyline.

And u missed all the activity here, keya bolu dear, may be u know we have a chat club for MRDians whispering grove & u will get company there from till now only gopal of our forum Luv_Guru ji. And if possible visit some old posts here specially the mixes & stories.

And now for ur disliking…… if u can remember I told u that in between they shifted the focus to family politics but the excuse was, first clear the mess of ur home & then peacefully fight for independence, later for the channel they didn't get the time to repair all the unnecessary damages but though not everything but few circumstances were required to bring RK little closer, and we were addicted to RK that's why we continued to watch what ever they showed and waited for the good time which never came, I think it happen with everyone people started liking one show from the beginning and continued to watch it until it becomes totally unbearable and its beginning was 😍 😍 😳

And my pov what ever they showed still that was far better than many of the shows running at that time.

Lack of research point again agreed with u and this was discussed here too.

But overall we liked the show very much & will remember it always as one of our fav. We will keep waiting for GP again together on screen.

i cant really add to what has already been said except for the fact.... i agree with what u said and later what bonai said....... i think towards the end...many of us tolerated the serial for the love story rather than the independence struggle..... and for the forum as well..... i ended up watching the serial towards the end bcause of this forum.... which was the friendliest place in the IF... we used to have camps....pro raj and pro krnati camps.. i think u already know the torch bearer of pro kranti camp... skeptical.... she is in the AKA forum now..... and she used to and still call raj 'rat'.... and no one ever took offence.... we argued... gave r povs and parted as friends...the most memorable nite on the forum was after the 2 jan episode..... i m sorry u missed all of this but like bonai i also extend the invitation to join r chat club called whispering grove........ a truly friendly place once again.....

and please... if u havent watched them already than watch the earlier episodes before the bhudda track.....which btw was the lowest point of the show...... i m sure u'll enjoy the early episodes and prabhleen's power pack performance in them is only aprt of the reason.....

finally do read the stories..... there are links to everyone of them thru r chat club or u can simply scroll thru the first few pages of this forum..... bonai skepty.... poetic all wrote wonderful FFs and i m sure u'll enjoy them immensely.....

I have written my heart out after taking the pain of searching here & there for the Videos & further I extend my thanks for accepting my views.

I know Skepti is in AKA forum coz' that is the only show & only forum(beside MRD) I am active at.I love AKA for its simplicity & affinity to reality & characters.As I mentioned in one of my earlier post that the power pack performance of lead pair in that show compelled me to give a chance to MRD.

As far as watching earlier episodes before Budha fiasco is concerned,I couldn't get them though I tried as hard as Raj tried for convincing Kranti.But I have read the Written updates of all episodes present including the ones of which I have the videos.If you have(for that mater,anybody) the archive of August & September episode plz upload them.If you can arrange them I promise I will fast for 2 days like K & mind you I am serious, not fake like BBR.These videos are prized possession of mine & I want them all.

As far as comparing that show with others during those time is concern,I am not really in position to comment as I was so much disillusioned by Hindi GEC that I didn't even care.Ignorance is bliss & now I realize what I have missed.
