Though people of other religions might not feel comfortable reciting it, the Gayatri mantra is supposed to provide immense energy. I did notice Carol silently reciting something else and that is perfectly okay. The Gayatri mantra means....

God is dear to me like my own breath, He is the dispeller of my pains, and giver of happiness. I meditate on the supremely adorable Light of the Divine Creator, that it may inspire my thought and understanding.
So it's kinda appropriate for the moment and I feel it doesn't solely belong to Hindus as such. It kinda surpasses all religious barriers.

What is the problem in saying the Gayathri Mantra? One has to be fortunate to recite the mantra. People on television are always saying InshaAllah and MashaAllah. Please feel proud of your heritage and religion.

LOL... i am very proud of my heritage and religion...😳 but i am not one of those people who would force my religion or values on others..😛.. i have a lot of muslim friends. and for them its considered haram to worship or recite mantra's like this..😊... shouldn't their religion and heritage be respected and taken into consideration too..😛

The problem with Flop Kumar is that he always tries to impose his beliefs upon others. It is absolutely fine for him to recite Gayatri Mantra when he is doing any stunt (completely secured ofcourse) but why should he make others recite it? How would the participants feel if the anchor happens to be a Muslim and he makes them recite ayats from Koran? Besides this, Flop Kumar also indulges in favouritism. Last time his favourite did not win inspite of his best efforts, this time his favourite is Anoushka Manchanda and I am sure this time Mr Flop Kumar will succeed in his nafereous designs.

i think there is no problem in reciting the gaytari mantra...even is a muslim or a christian does it , the mantra wont bias or prejudice against them and they will be benefited by it , even if they r just hearing it...so it should not be an issue !
