Ankit Jain - Televisionpoint.com | Mumbai Colors, the Hindi general entertainment channel (GEC) from Viacom18 stable, is at number one position in the Week 36, as per TAM Media Research (C&S, 4+, HSM). Colors has 294 GRPs and is 14 GRPs ahead of the number two channel, Star Plus. Colors and Star Plus command 23 and 21 per cent share of the GEC pie, respectively. In Week 36, Zee TV has garnered a 21 per cent share with 269 GRPs. The channel has recently completed the revamping exercise for its prime time slot with the launch of 12/24 Karol Bagh. Its makeover exercise has already shown positive signs of success. Sony Entertainment TV commands 128 GRPs and its share has increased from 9 per cent to 10 per cent in the latest week. NDTV Imagine comes next, with 105 GRPs and it has a channel share of 8 per cent. Sab TV has retained its position at No. 5 and has garnered 5 per cent share, while Star One has managed to hold on to its sixth position and its relative share in the week is 4 per cent. DD1 follows with 3 per cent share. Sahara One, Star Utsav and 9X have all managed to grab 2 per cent share each, while Real's share has been reduced to zero. Amongst the top ten programs, five of Zee TV's shows have made it to the Top 10. However, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on Star Plus tops the charts with a TVR of 7.2. Colors' Balika Vadhu is the second most watched property garnering a TVR of 6.5. Uttaran on Colors, at No. 3, has recorded a TVR of 5.5. Bidaai on Star Plus is at No. 4, with 5.4 TVR; while Na Aana Is Des Laado on Colors is at No. 5, with a TVR of 5.2.
