Greetings,

I have been following Sa re ga ma challenge 2005 right from the beginning as well as the posts on this forum. There have been some great posts from music lovers which has been very informative.
Of late all that I see is people "accusing/abusing" contetstants they "personally dislike". Is this supposed to be the outcome of such a show ? I was of the opinion that this show was to bring out some good talent.
I am quiet surprised to see people supporting a single individual, nothing really wrong in supporting a singer they like but not to the extent of "maligning" another contestant. Do we have anything personal against any one contestant ? Agreed that everyone has the right to have favourites but does that mean we bad mouth another singer ?
I think this why such reality shows sell !
It is a shame that a show that was supposed to showcase some great talent in music has turned out to be a battleground for people to bash each other. Not just the people who watch this show but the renowned music directors who are beahving with so much bias. Does not look like the so called mentors are helping get good talent but more like backing their "own favourites" to satisfy their huge egos !
It is a pity to see on this forums people accusing contestants of behaving rudely, for e.g. there was a post saying that Vinit is rude and another targeting Debojit and Hemachandra coming so far only due to regionalism.
Great I thought that music had no religion or boundaries, maybe I am wrong. Do people listening to hindi movie songs judge a song by its "melody" or by the region the singer comes from or whether the singer is a rude/arrogant person ?
For those of you who understand what I am trying to convey, there is no winner of Sa re ga ma challenege 2005. Music is the loser in this show.

i dont know i am new to this and dont know if my opinion really gathers weight. i do see saregamapa and have always been very much impressed with the standard offered by this show. about the discussions that were triggered during the walk out session, there was a real shokcing & dangerous topic which came in. it was said that it was fair for debo to get maximum vote from his homeground !!!!!!!!!!!!!! what was that. where did it come from, homeground - it is not cricket, it is music, my dear people, please understand, u can not vote for a person bcos he belongs to ur state or ur colony. it is just not those plain entertainments like movie or games, it is music, which touches ur soul and something which touches ur inner most self. then what do i do as a south indian send msgs to all my south indian contacts and ask them to vote of hemachandra. sick i wud call it.

Absolutely Fair .. what you are saying for Debu applies to all .. maybe all other are getting votes from their respective linguistic bases spread throughout the metros..
Anyways if you count the actual votes in numbers Debu still gets more votes than some others from the other places too..
So your remark is baseless

Absolutely agree. 2% of votes received by Debo from a certain area in actual numbers may be more than 5% or 7% received by Vineet. Then what make those 5-7% votes valid?

Moreover, why does it matter to public who wins or loses. It is public's voice. We like someone so we choose them. Music Director's like someone, they will choose them for their songs. We are not forcing these MD's to use the winner in their movies. Then why are they complaining?

I do agree. It is just a hype created to sell the show.

Who cares for talent? The mentors have their own interest in misleading the candidates and people and so is Zee TV.

Nice forum to start.

This should be directly emailed to HR and AS and whosoever brought up this whole thing of regionalism.

I have started supporting Debu more ever since HR and AS started putting him down on the shows..this is not acceptable...GS should take note of this since if he is worried about his show's credibility.

ID does not harp on any of these...plus he is so supportive of all the candidates...that is how a mentor should be...

ARE WE VOTING FOR THE VOICE OR THE NAME AND THE STATE THAT THE CHALLANGER COMES FROM.
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT IN THE SERIES WHERE NIHIRA WAS BOOTED OUT IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DEBO AND NOT NIHARA, I DO NOT UBNDERSTAND WHY ID IS OVER REACTING. DEBO WENT CLEARLY OFF KEY AND RECEIVED THE HIGHEEST VOTES FROM THE PUBLIC. THE MENTORS GAVE HIM 4 AND 7 RESPECTIVELY (THAT WAS WHAT HE DESERVED) yET NIHIRA WAS BOOTED OUY. WHY? WHY?

THE PUBLIC VOTING HAS MADE SAREGAMAPA A MOCKERY AND ITS A SAD DAY. PUBLIC VOTING SHOULD BE SCRAPED AND PROFESSIONAL JUDGES SHOULD BE BROUGHT IN INSTEAD.
THE 3 OF THEM WERE NOT WRONG IN WALKING OUT AND ID HAD NO RITE TO CONFRONG VINIT THE WAY HE DID. WHO THE HELL HE THINGS OF HIM SELF TO BE.????

AFTER ALL HE SET THE PRECEDENT OF WALKING OUT.............
