The songs I mentioned are my favourite slow tempo ones. But apart from that Dhan Te Nan is an obvious favourite. I also love Delhi 6 title track, Nayan Tarse, Pardesi, Saali Khushi, Duniya, Emotional Attyachar (Rock Version). These are all from Dev D. Fatak, Genda Phool are great folksy tracks. And then I love Aahun Aahun as well. This year has been a pretty good one for music I feel.
For music lovers, and other ARR fans I would definitely recommend the Dev D soundtrack and Amit Trivedi. That is probably the most fresh, diverse and interesting album I have heard all year. And there isn't a single track that lets you down, though Emosanal Attyachar may not be everyone's cup of tea.
I think there is a way to do something "old school" without making it bland. Like Dhan Te Nan is an obvious homage to RD Burman (along with Pulp Fiction) but it still feels fresh.
Geet, I LOVE Dhan Tana and Aahun Aahun as well! They lyrics of DTN just amaze me :O
"koi chaal aisi chalo yaar ab ke samundar bhi pul pe chale!" and the "veryyyy badddd"😆
Apart from these fast tempo songs, Fatak gives me goosebumps! Esp the part where Guddu goes "ke naiyya doobe na, ke bhavra kaate na" -- thats my favorite part!

Well its a futile effort to debat on music! Everyone has their likes and irks.. You cannot call music bland.. Art form is very fluid! What might be weird to some people might be entertaining to others. And you cannot also divide music into class.. it is just how it touches your heart.. tat is how it matters..And about the hinglish lyrics.. Well hinglish is the official language of India.. no one speaks or understands pure hindi.... so that is what is depicted in the songs. This song is indeed beautiful..and I love it for its simplicity and the fact that it is easy to ears.
