I believe in Discipline. GS set the rules, DS won by the rules. What seems to be the problem - I am confused?

If this were my show, I would throw them out for revolting and never bring them on Zee TV again.

KEH DIYA NA BUS KEH DIYA

Man... you have so much negativity for 17 year kids, who are obviously talented but are being manipulated by their idiotic mentors and Gajendra, Chill out dude.. If you are also a teenager, then its ok. Your behavior is appropriate.. Else Dude, you need to relax... Give the kids a break.

I totally agree with your views. And kapil Dev doesnot even understand ABC of music. he went on talking about cricket in the music show. I mean why the hell he was there. And i agree with u that he didnot cry for vinit's song he had his own story behind it. very well written.

Thank you, but Kapil did well on the show. he brought his kind of sensibility to the show, and made the comparisons bet singing and criket, very thoughtful

I SO miss the old SAREGAMA.. where kids younger than this lot could participate without worrying about their looks, regional support or channel TRPs.. we got some excellent singers from that show.. Shreya Ghoshal, for instance. Nobody worried if Mohammed Vakil could dance or not. The only thing that mattered was how the contestants sang. AND we had judges who knew what and how to judge. SaReGaMa then was a class act.
The talent is still there.. but the magic is missing. And it is not public voting that is to blame.. it is the organizers who exploited regional sentiments and turned a talent show into an election
The really good ones among this group will surely get their big break in films; even if they get eliminated from the finals now. As for the show, it will fade away like the others as it has lost the very thing that made it unique-talent without pretence

Very very well written. Reality tv has stripped SA RE GA MA PA of its original U.S.P., which was good singing and opportunity to meet great musical stalwarts giving great guidance to the participants. I still remember the show with sonu nigam where naushad saab and raj kumari were present and raj kumari sang 'sun bairi balam, ib kya hoga' i had the greatest respect for Gajendra singh then. But I guess the vulture of reality tv has engulfed old Sa re ga ma and i don't think it can be redeemed. Instant fame is something our classical music has never sold never vouched for and that is exactly what GS is doing.
